I've seen people take up 2 parking spaces before and another car parking right beside them so they can't get out from the driver door..

Saw an Infiniti G35 sedan take up 4 spaces at the gym, that was pretty crazy. He parked his car in such a way that the middle of his car was where the four spots intersected.

haha I would never believe it unless it happened to me, and it has many times. It's human nature to want to rain on someone else's parade, namely ours. Still no dings yet after 2 years (one was PDR'd). Just can't stand SUV's because they have the potential to get us in a way that PDR can't fix, i.e. on a line or edge, up high.

Hmmmm...I had a Nissan Armada open a door on me. The PRD guys got the line and the ding (from the SUV's ding guard that sticks out) removed for me. Nice $140 out of my pocket. I walk by the SUV everyday.

It may not be practical to be enforced, but nice if there were a threat of a big fine or tow to prevent this.

I never take two parking spots... I always try to park as close to the mall or wherever I want to go... I guess time is my first priority *-*

lol happened to me last weekend although it was an M5 and a 760Li I still didn't really appreciate it. There were spots elsewhere. But earlier this week I learned that the M5 belonged to a factory Ferrari race car driver so that was cool I guess lol

Try living in San Antonio where every third vehicle seems to be a 4WD crew cab F350 long bed equipped with enormous cattleguards front and rear. I have actually had these guys pull into slots so crooked I damn near had to have a spotter to get out.

I have also had my wife's car dinged pretty bad while in a lot and noticed that the offending car was still parked next to us with the evidence (paint transfer) on the door edge. It was no small ding so it is very unlikely that they were unaware of the damage. I chose to let my emotions get the better of me and I doled out some instant Karma right then and there. I won't say what I did but I'm sure it left an impression.

We practice defensive parking now. We park out and against a curb whenever possible to allow for extra space between us and the cars that will inevitably park next to us. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Please note that this theory falls on its face when parked next to mini-vans. Good luck, be safe, and remember: shit happens.

The other thing that bothers the hell out of me is that you can take all the care in the world, make sure your car is mint etc... and no matter what you do people will ALWAYS scratch your car in a parking lot.

I remember one fool parking his 90's crap a$$ mustang at the university parkade across two spots. Mind you the average car on campus would be at least a BMW. Luckily the idiot didn't get keyed up, but someone left a funny note on his windshield "Your POS ford is not a Bentley, use one spot!"
What school do you go to? If the average car is at least a BMW, it sounds like you guys don't need to be in school. You might as well just save the tuition, buy an M3 instead, and live off of daddy's money.

At work, I park on the 8th floor (one floor below the roof), and I park at a corner spot where I can park my car with the passenger side as close to the wall as possible. One day, I got off work and saw this:

2 spaces for any car is usually an invitation for a keyfest. I would never do it no matter what I drove.
