Why would BMW not make these for the E92 ? Seems stupid !

I like the chrome grills as it's just for for the 6cyl models. But, as you say that's the last bit of chrome replaced to match the M Sport black exterior trim. Agree - good price.

I must say the black grills look pretty good, but if I’m honest with you, a good looking BMW like yours (and many others) could virtually have any colour (within reason) grills on it and it would look good.
I have contemplated putting black grills on my car, but looked at it and realised how good it looked with the original chromes ones on. I wonder, if all BMW’s came fitted with black grills as standard, would everyone be creaming their knickers the minute someone fitted chrome grills. As mentioned above I think black grills look really good, but I think its purely a case of something different and not anything better. |

On an SE car, the chrome looks more 'classy' and in keeping with the 'luxury' effect. A lot of sport models (not just BMW bit Audi, etc.) are de-chromed, and removing the chrome grille finishes the effect. I also love the black grilles that are fitted to some Audi A3's and A4's. I also think the car's colour has a lot to do with it. I am not a fan of chrome on white cars. I already have the carbon outer/black slat grille waiting to go on the M as soon as it arrives, and already have the matt black wing/fender grilles to replace the OEM chrome ones. If the car had been black, I would keep the chrome side grilles as they would stand out more. It is all down to one's personal taste and just trying to make their car that little bit different to how it left the factory. |

I just called the regular BMW parts department at my local dealership. That price will be UK wide standard, including next day delivery to the dealers for you to collect.

Agree - they are just subtley different - that's the point IMO. If my wife or mother noticed then I'd be gutted and have to take them off straight away. They don't jar or stand out much, maybe enough to get a second glance - but only from people who either own a 3er or are reasonably interested in motors. .......like your good selves..... |

Weird that BMW UK sells them that cheap, but good for you.

No, LCI e90 grill woundn't fit the 2008 e90.
For that you need the new black grill with these part numbers. 51712151895 and 51712151896, plus the two pieces on the hood with numbers 51712151897 and 51712151898.
