The easiest way is to call them or drop them an e-mail, they're very responsive in general. Ask for Martin Wright who's the technician in charge of this project. He can also provide you a price quote for the stage 1 upgrade, lead time to do the upgrade is only a few days.

I'm one of the "BMW enthusiasts" (along with Eugen) who has sent a set of turbos to them serving as prototypes for the stage 2 upgrade. As that is still in development, no pricing is available for this yet. Tony (E92Fan) will also provide info, review and photos once his testing is finished, so stay tuned!

Stage 2 has the exhaust wheel upgraded as well. You can just use the email adresses on their website. I got an answer within 4 hours.

is exhaust wheel upgrade significant to the performance or durability?

instead of each one contacting Martin at TD and asking the same questions (waste of time fro martin to answer...) why don't we summarize the modifications here on the forum:

Stage1:
compressor wheel characteristics
turbine wheel clipping
porting of turbine
porting of compressor
wastegates
price indicative???

Stage2:
compressor and turbine caracteristics
porting
wastegates
price indicative???

And most important:
Improvements over stock for stage 1 and 2:
Improved air flow %, reduced air temperature %, max PSI at reline, reduction of back-pressure and most of all: TURBO LAG

will stage 1 and stage 2 give full boost at low rpm (below 2K)????
We all are so happy with low end torque of N54, should be a shame to destroy it only to extend top end.

Performance. A clipped stock turbine wheel will help that at high rpm's the turbos will blow more than hot air. However, this can cause some worse turbo response on low rpm's.

A new designed turbine wheel can cover low- and high rpm requirements if it's done really well. Turbo lag should not increase compared to stock turbos.

I'll most probably be able to hitch a ride on Tony's car at the end of the week. I'll be able to report that hands-on then.

Cool Marcel,

Please do a WOT pull in 4th from 1500rpm to 6k and observe how quick boost builds up and if below 2Krpm there is already 8-10 psi

Have a nice trip to UK, enjoy the build of quaife and M3 bits end say hello to Tony (even if I still don't know him personally)
