You're preaching to the converted!! NFS & I were both proud owners of E90 330i's, around 06 vintage, and now extinct by all accounts!! Even though ours were early 256bhp versions, what a peach of an engine, come sell one time it was really hard to see where to go next. The loss of engine note was a let down with the 335i, but i've now come round to the gruff bark of the 335i. The 330i is a light engine too, about 50kg lighther than the same 335i model. I'd said before the E90 330i would be a classic in a few years, now they don't make it any more that time will come even sooner!! |

i love my 330i auto vert (awesome engine note, especially with the roof off while being smooth as a kitten) but its horrendous on fuel economy.
Mine is stated to do 6.5secs but i always get around 6.0 - 6.2, i wonder if its remapped? but since it was bought from bmw dealership, surely it cant be? |

As a slight curve ball, it is strange that they are continuing with the even rarer (and possibly more pointless) 325i. Given the [almost identical] CO2 and economy, it's lower power really doesn't make any sense at all, oh other than it was £3K less!
And why keep the dated 325d? How many of those do you see, with it's virtually identical economy and CO2 figures to the 330d? It's almost like they did a cut and paste on the technical page! |

The 330i was all about the induction noise. Smooth as silk. This was mine: |
