I think the LED ones look alright, the bmw style are ok. I think the audi ones look really 'poser', not a fan of them at all.

This is my gripe with the BMW ones they are a bit yellowish, some VW models look very similar also. Like them or not other marques are a crisp white LED and Audi vary the layout/design depending on the model, so you can actually distinguish the model of the car. Puts the cost up no doubt. Posy lol, maybe but then isn't everyone who drives a high end German marque secretly.

Even though I have that crisp white LED line as standard.............the buggers are OFF!

LOL....yeah, have to admit...the Audi ones look more "classy"....think because they are bright n white...whereas the bmw ones are yellowish....

335i and TTS .....always on.....( I'm just worried that they "wear off" .....do they?...how often do they need replacing?...)

OFF! I hate them. They just make people who don't have automatic headlights forget to put the proper lights on when its dark.

Don't like the fact it turns too many heads though, but I don't really care, no sense in having them if you won't use them!

I consider that an advantage, should you forget to turn them on, you at least have some sort of backup rather than being blacked out. DRLs are very bright at night, perhaps too bright because they are designed to work in the day. I don't use auto-headlights because parking in the garage drives them bonkers, they end up staying on 24/7 which is just annoying and pointless when DRL is a feature.

???

That's the beauty of auto lights, they pop on in garages, car parks, tunnels, under passes or under trees etc,

just like they should do.. then turn off straight away when you're back in the light.

You would think, but what I meant to say was; when I leave the car in the garage at night with the switch on the Auto position, they don't turn off when I drive out. It confuses the sensor. If I have to put the lights in the off position every time I park in the garage and back to Auto when I drive out, I might as well just flip them on when it gets dark. DRLs cover me through tunnels etc.

All the LCi model 3 series now have the nice white angel eyes - similar to the new 5 series, GT, etc

Only us peasants with the older model cars have the yellow'ish ones.

I did haver some LED ones fitted, but they interfere with the radio so took them back out. If anyone wants to buy 'em PM me lol

DRL = Dipped Main Beam

Angel Eyes = Driving with your parking lights on.

If you are doing this, be careful as I am sure the call from Audi must be strong

Can't see them Carl I'm inside the car Mine are off in daylight anyhow. E mail the buggers and tell 'em you think they've got it wrong, oh and tell them I would have preferred a spare wheel as opposed to a Porsche system puncture repair kit lol

All these DRL's do increase emissions apparently and something the manufacturers have or are trying to combat.

Yes Jason but does that mean those who have them now MUST switch them on in 2011? Can't find anything that says so?
