In all seriousness if you can manage to install a DPFIX in the PnP harness you'll be able to figure this out. It's just moving three pairs to new locations. The PROcede guys all did it when added CAN and they seemed to figure it out. If you can't manage then you can mail it in to BMS or myself for a few bucks and let us take care of it for you. Mike |

The CAN stuff is so cool. Do you predict any significant hp gains or just better drivbility etc? What sort of pricing are you estimating (i already run a JB3) ? Thanks! Last edited by Rotorocious; 11-02-2010 at 06:00 PM.. |

I would skip the upgrade and buy the new product altogether before attempting to mess with what I've already got. I have a hard enough time getting the stupid harnesses snapped back into the ECU and that pisses me off. I normally pay people to do the things I'm not good at doing. This is probably one of them.

This looks fun to me. I sorta miss working on cars.
I like doing oil changes, other things when I can (that dealer wont do for free) etc. I did my own pin out and it wasn't that bad. After a couple it becomes repetition. I did my own standalone ecu harness from scratch a while back, something that tedious and nuts, I have no problem buying one already made or having someone else do it. I've put off ordering a JB3 computer cable in lieu of buying the g4 instead. HURRY! |

Mike-
First, the harness work looks pretty simple. I think a video will put everyone at ease. Second, I have the V3 dp fix and it is adjusted and WORKING! I guess I need to remove that when I receive the G4 upgrade and reinstall the red jumpers I removed for the dp fix? Also, will the G4's built-in dp fix need adjustment like the V3 did, or will it be good to go? |

To those that think this might be too hard for them to do don't worry about it. I hate electrical and was scared shitless about installing the DP fix but after doing it I can say it was VERY easy to do. This involves a lot of similar actions and steps that the DP fix requires so I know I won't have a problem with this.
I'll make a DIY video once the upgrade comes out. |

I got a few PMs from people asking about if they have a Pin-Out. The Pin-Out G4 conversion is even easier then the PnP as you just move a couple of wires around. Should take 10min once you're into the ECU.
