Design Flow
Went to their site and there is absolutely zero mention of this stuff- I mean, they obviously can do this from what I saw on their site, but I want a place where this is a specialty, not "Yeah, we can do that"... I want "yeah.... we do do that"
There's a difference. I did see window/light tinting mentioned, but there was no other mention of any custom trim wrapping, etc. |

also in terms of trim wrapping. Wrapping your own trim is not hard at all, its actually a lot of fun

Understood-
And I know that- as you mentioned- wraps and vehicle graphics, etc.
are buttering his bread. I was just looking for a little mention, that's all. I remember back in the late 80's/early 90's (yeah, I'm that old!), every schmuck with a hose and bucket was an "auto detailer". That's cool, though- if you say he's good, I'm ok with giving him a call. He's obviously not operating out of his garage, so that makes me feel a bit better. I may have him wrap the interior pieces on my Pathfinder to see how I like them, then do the 330i. I just bought a new Miata and that could use some love, too. I'll call him this week. |

The interior is different because you don't waste any vinyl like the window trim, all the vinyl is used to the very last inch, I have seen people use a 4x3 roll and I have been able to get it done in about 4x3.5

I was seriously
thinking about it but you know...
I work like an old plow horse and just don't have the damn time. I also confess, removing the wood kind of freaks me out, plastic I'm ok with... the wood.. not so sure. And I bought the car new- it's got 12000 miles on it and is literally like new- never in the snow, barely in the rain.... 5-1/2 years and 12K miles... I'd be pissed if I broke something. The Pathfinder.... even the new Miata that's parked next to the 330i and has 50 miles on it.... I know that if I break some piece of trim I can go to the dealer and just replace the part- the 330i? I don't want to know what a piece of wood costs! Maybe I'll cut my teeth on one of the other cars, though. How much do you typically need for an interior? I guess that's dependent on the number of parts. I did see that site where they had different sized pieces. |

the way i removed my door trim was I used a pry tool (flat head screwdriver covered in painters tape) and popped out the front part of the trim and moved my way back slowly, by the time i got halfway through, the whole thing popped out. I was surprised to see that the wood was actually very sturdy, because i vinyled the whole interior myself, i was pulling on the wood and the vinyl pretty hard to get the corners perfect and had no issues with it even bending much let alone breaking. One thing I also read which i did at first but i don't think is necessary. If you are worried about breaking the piece when putting it back in, mark where the points out of the trim piece are with tape so you can apply pressure to just those points when putting the trim piece in, if you have any questions, send me a PM I would be careful with the other trim pieces, the front dash trim pieces are connected by a few wires for the air con, and various buttons, and the air con vents themselves are connected to the trim with clips, i broke a few of these, but the pieces still fit perfectly no problem. you do need to take out the vents tho to get a perfect wrap around all the corners.

An earlier post said it was $125 for an E92... I guess their prices have gone up? I was thinking of having them do mine especially now that I have matte black wheels. Looks like I'll be in touch Rob!
