1. The m3 is nothing near slow in a straight line
2. an n54 with a simple (15psi) tune,100 oct and a DCI WILL BEAT a DCT>MT e9x m3
3. The m3 is a track superstar it will eat any 335i around it and most $100k+ sports cars
4. The the 5.0 will beat the new m3 and 90% of tuned n54's so dont underestimate it.
5. just because its an american car does not mean the car is slow i dont know where people came up with this theory.
the mustang shares its rear suspension with this

can a tuned/bolt on (dp,fmic, intake) 335i on 93 pump gas with an upgraded suspension beat the m3 around the track?

running meth, n2o, and/or high octane fuel isn't a fair comparison. i prefer to compare cars in their daily driven form as opposed to one being balls out and the other (m3) being nearly stock.

As stated above the M3 is a track guru. You gotta remember straight line and turns are two different worlds.

Where did the Mustang argument come from?

till it hits a bump

or one wheel load

you cant deny physics. ford did a good job setting the car up to hide the fact it has a leaf suspension

True iall never buy one but they did the best they could possibly do with a live axle. They figured that independent suspension wasnt that great on the 03-04 cobra so why the hell should we change it.

Ford ditched the independent suspension because they are prone to wheel hop on hard launches and they are not as strong as a live axel set-up.

Garage List
2007 335i  [0.00]
I drove a 6 speed MT 5.0 and I know i can smoke it! When I was having issues with misfires and couldn't get out of 2nd gear without going into limp mode I was in the 5.0 I planned to buy. I drove it and was impressed with its performance for a FORD but to be fair you'd have to compare it in the Ford line up to a 6 series in the BMW line up. The 335 is like a Fusion

We have 2 Rousch's on the lot as well that I can smoke too.

The Corbra 5.0 is the real deal.... you don't need to do a thing to it!

Stock with Strut bars, Open Box Intake, Brembo's, Supercharged.

I wouldn't put a pulley on it, touch the ECU...no rims.. no suspension, Stock.

I would kill to have that car.
It would be like an M3 GT3. It's tweeked already.
