oh wow. i had no idea of this. thanks mike.. and i see BMS is preparing the first batch for testers at the moment. so could you provide an approx. time that you see this being offered to us? and this will take care of timing at equal efficiency with procede???

The procede enthusiast is $645, its only what like 200 bucks more for a system that has been controlling timing for so long and that has no glitches since its been doing it for a while.
But if bms got it right than good for them I salute them but I remember Terry saying control timing is useless since the high tech German engineering will do it for you....

The best thing you can do is to buy the other option, drive and compare them both and then return the one that doesn't feel as good.

+1 Both burger tuning and Vishnu offer a money back garantee so try it out and return it and try the other one.

I dont have a JB3 and I didnt have a JB3 when I was thinking about switching to COBB. Please just stop posting here, you have no clue what you are talking about.

No, and I didnt have the JB3 when I was thinking about switching. Beemw is just spreading false information.

OP, Please dont let beemw's posts change your opinion on any tune. Talk to someone knowledgeable first. I am not claiming to know everything, but beemw knows little to nothing about tuning. Read his previous posts if you want proof.

JB4 runs great. Hundreds of 0-130 pulls on JB3/JB4 with higher than recommended maps on 91 octane even. Absolutely no problems. Car runs great. Even accidentally plugged the meth between runs on the race map. You should be fine!

Also, FYI...if you do back to back to back 0-130 runs, you will see the DME keeps raising the advance till knock threshold anyways. So its pretty tricky trying to anticipate all situations in which the DME is going to retard timing. I mean I know there are the obvious situations, but it is not always consistant with all the variable conditions. I have been logging just about every one of my logs, and its interesting to see how the DME controls timing. Sometimes the traps will get faster and faster, and then the DME will start retarding timing after the fastest run, and then start building up again.

Just about 3 years i ran the JB3 from when it came out on map 1.0 to the latest 2.0 maps, on my 2007 E92 335i when i get it brand new... Never had any type of problem related to the JB3.. Sold the car to my cousin with the JB3 at around 40K or so miles, and the car was running as strong as i can remember.
And just to add, i ran Map 7 which was the full bolt on 93+octane hot map, on a basically stock car for 3 years, which was not recomened, i was suppose to be on Map 5 =]

Because of this i was so satisfied with the Jb3, when i ordered and got my new 2010 M-sport E90 LCI 335i, i went and got the JB3/JB4 ASAP. As simple as that for me. It works, give me smiles and that great power i love, car runs great.

Anyone can say what they want ive been thru below 0 wind chill winters in NY to 100+ degree summers with it, and did every type of driving 1/4 etc hundres of WOT pulls, never gave me trouble. If it did, i would throw it away without blinking... Knock on wood my cars in general aswell. Call me a fanboi etc. it works and satisfy me with its features, so i stick with it.

OP, both tunes are great. If price is a non issue I would highly recommend you give both a try. Its really a lot about driver preference. I have no major problems to report with either tune. I have about 60,000 tuned miles combined with 2 tunes.

It is to an extent. But if it helps OP sleep better at night might be $80 (tentative pricing as I am not sure what the final price will be) well spent.
