I carry a Continental Tire repair kit....compressor and tire seal. What do you do if youre half way between Parry Sound and Sudbury or London and Windsor in the middle of the night and your RFT goes down? You can drive 50 kms.......to where? 50 kms doesnt get you to Parry Sound or Sudbury. Then what? Youre screwed. Then you have to wait for a couple of days for a RFT to be delivered. If the RFT puncture is in the tread (not sidewall) the tire can be repaired but NOT if the tire has been driven on while out of air. Brutal. I don't understand their thinking.

Just read a review in EVO or CAR and they (and Michelin) say that this is the fastest tire in the world. They last longer than the old one too. |

If your theory was correct then all tests in all mags would be biased and there would be absolutely no point in producing any of them. Does that make sense? |

i won't go to the extent of saying I'm paranoid....but that's how the advertisement world works....the point of producing them is....selling volume = more ads = more money....the point of prodcing is definately not to give an honest opinion.....the person writing the opionion prob hasn't even used the products.

If you have 255/35/18 Conti DWs are back ordered for 2 to 3 weeks. Yoko's 08s wear out too quickly, Yoko Sports are insanely priced in Canada, as are PS2s. After looking arround and reading all the reviews I narrowed it down to DWs and Potenza's 760 Sport. Since I didn't want to ruin my winter tires by driving them in 20+ weather I opted for very reasonably priced 760 and am very happy with them. Less then a grand with the $75 rebate.

Personally I went with Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110 non RFT. No regrets so far, noise level for daily driving, handling in dry and rain conditions, breaking, driving in the rain on the highway with out hydroplanning and price that is hard to match for MAX performance summer tire. Just make sure you got the tire preassure set correctly. Based on my experience usually 1-2PSI higher than what OM recommends for stiffer side wall.
