My car was on Fred's lift when we realized that the bolt pattern to hook up the clutch is different from a 1er to a 3er, haha. That was AFTER we took everything apart. If you have a 1er and a 6mt, hit up fred and I'm sure he can hook it up.

... my bad :P Quote:
you mean how some are 6bolt and some are 8bolt cranks? what if i have a 1er with an 8bolt (well, mid 2008ish motor from a 335)? :P reason i'm back searching twin clutches is i'd rather not have to go a heavy single plate, and twin plates on N54 doesn't seem to be common haha |

Is that what was meant by 'bolt pattern to hook up clutch' ? Quote:
Well, it's going to be a daily in stop-start traffic at least for a while (though.. maybe maybe not :P), and the stock weight on the 130i is about as much as me knee can handle in stop-start (heavier than the 135's i've driven though, for whatever reason).. 'grabbyness' i don't mind.. very on-off clutches aren't too big a hassle in my experience, just not optimal lol which spec do you have? I'd need at least the 3+ for what i want, and (correct me if i'm wrong) the twin plates can have as much or more torque holding capacity, while still being slippable AND have less pedal force required?.. and reasonable price long-term rebuilding no? thanks |
