Awesome pics. I took my d to a track day at Lime Rock over the summer. I got an award for fastest time in my group - Diesel. The competition was fierce in my group, it was me vs. myself.

The biggest heartbreak of the day: a guy had a brand new Holman and Moody GT40, complete with Webers, knockoffs, the whole nine yards, and this was his first track day with the car. My understanding was that he was there to shake it down and prep it for running in Historic Races.
Anyway, he was having some trouble with the carbs running rich, and he finally brought it through the pits and onto the track. It was still runnning rich, but as he went through the first turn and disappeared, you could hear it clear up and start running very clean. Not too long later, there was a full course red and we watched as all the cars came into the pits, trying to guess who might have gone off. As you can guess, it was the GT40. I only got a couple of pics of the aftermath, didn't want to gawk too much and make the guy feel any worse: |
