Call the 800# and get a live person on the phone 800-831-1117. They will want your production order number, but if you don't have it maybe they can try to look you up by name?

your last statement is bordering on libelous and is upsetting in the least. Dealerships are there to make money selling cars much like a grocery store is there to make money selling you food. Your car dealer will (at best) make around 5 grand from the sale of a 3 series. Over the course of the year a grocery store may well make more than that in profit from your purchases. There are a number of different reasons why your car may be delayed. some of them are:

low availability of the twin turbo engine

problems with orders from BMWNA - a number of allocations were over-booked and subsequently recalled by BMW this month. this has caused a ripple effect of delays.

the last possibility is that maybe your dealer over-estimated the amount of allocations that would be provided to them. This also happens all the time because BMW may release 5 one month but the next month only 3 with no reason given.

believe me, your dealer would love to have your car in sooner than you. there really is no reason to freak out on them. If you can't wait for a car then I suggest you get REAL flexible and have them locate a car that will work for you.

Hey yardman, i would just cancel the order. If your willing to change from a E92 to a E93, they have one up in prestige BMW in Ramsey NJ. It's montego blue and pretty much fully loaded. Believe me, I don't work for them. I wish i did so I could lease the 335i coupe for probably cheaper than what I'm getting for the 328i. I just have had 2 good experiences w/ them and am currently getting my E92 328i from them. If you want, go to there website at prestigebmw.com and look it up on there new inventory.

P.S. I could get you contact info. of the CA I went through if you want. Lemme know but you would have to wait until tomorrow cuz I'm at work until 7 am.

So the update to this madness is that I called the dealer to speak to them about my production number. I once had one now to find out that it was erroneously issued by their system and all i have now is an order with no number. In addition, i was told that this particular dealer has 17 orders for coupes with no production numbers and I am 7th on the list. And last month they only received two cars. So I am giving it one more day to think about it and by close of business tomorrow I may be cancelling my order. Anyone who has any input, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh i have some DPE S15s for sale. Check the marketplace.
