Awhile back out in the sticks, my speedo had wrapped itself almost to 160, while GPS hand held had my top speed saved as 143 FWIW. Moving either way.
speedo is no way that far out

on A 20 year old car maybe

i would say 155mph indicated would be 151-152 actual gps

152-3 indicated is 144 on my GPS. The speedos are not that accurate. I have a PROceed and it does NOT defeat the speed limiter.

Enough said. Get ready to have the ECU shipped out and the car in the garage for 3 wks for me.

PM me, i might be able to help more.
So did this give you more horsepower/torque too, or was it strictly a governor remover? If so how much? Thanks!!!

OK, well.

In the last 5hrs I've got More PM Messages than since i became a Member, one of them claimed to be a Local dealer that said

"will track me down"

I will not go any more fwd as to what my ECU has undergone to achieve its Vmax, The HP/TQ Figures have not been altered, just because the governor stops the velocity of the vehicle @ 152mph (to be axact) it doesn't mean the Vehicle is not able to achieve higher Vmax w' out uprated power.

The ECU will gladly accept PROcede/Xede/RD Black Box.

DME/Speed governors can have light shed on the issue from "turner motorsports" They had erased my Brothers e39 M3 up in Massachusetts couple yrs ago.

There will be No more info on the subject by me.

Cheers and Good Luck.

Maybe this can be of help.....

TMS Performance Software for BMW E90/E92 335i (N54)
Performance software for the 2007+ BMW E90/E92 335i and E60 535

It’s ready -- we are one of the first in the USA to offer reliable dyno developed performance software for the 335 - and it makes GREAT POWER (+40hp over stock and +39lb/ft of torque over stock). That’s 367hp and 372lb ft of torque, as measured on our dyno. Can you say faster than a M3? This software for the 335 is a reprogram (also known as a "Flash") of the current software in your engine computer. It is not a "piggy back" system or a "soldier job" which have been rumored to "adapt" back close to stock over time. There are no down sides of this modification, other than needing 91 or higher octane gas. We modify fuel and spark mapping, adjust the throttle, and most importantly INCREASE THE BOOST to a safe, reliable amount.

The chip will de-activate the EWS-II code inside the DME, It also has all of the benefits of the "regular" Conforti Performance Chips -- more horsepower and torque, increased rev limit (7000 rpm), top speed limiter removed, In the past you would have had to track down a non-EWS computer. This chip saves you both time and money.

This is the perfect upgrade for someone who wants a dramatic boost in power -- especially in the low to mid-range. Check out the dyno sheet: with the Stage 1 TMS performance software your car will have MUCH more torque at 2700 RPM... +26lb/ft at the wheels! If you are in the Boston area, make an appointment to stop by for a road test. Our 335 with this software is simply awesome! (91 or higher octane gasoline is required) Please keep in mind that with a "turbo car" it is "easy" to make horsepower by increasing boost BUT keeping your BMW reliable is the most important thing to Turner motorsport. We may be a little conservative with our software, but it's better than the alternative. If for some reason your dealer "reflashes" your 335 with stock software after you purchase this from TMS , we will reflash your ECU at no charge (except for shipping). Due to the large sales volume of this software, the price has recently dropped and customers who have purchased this at the higher introductory price will be refunded. Click here for dyno results.

Stage 1 includes: Software upgrade

Video Clip: Dyno Test
Dyno Chart

The software re-flash is done through TMS. Your computer will need to be removed and shipped to TMS.

Click here for instructions for removing the computer.

Click here for specific instructions on shipping the computer.

Well I think what we have here is a real mystery..yet the title of this thread says it all.

You only need to look at the first word to figure out what it was.

It was a "Ghost."

THE GHOST....!

Hm, Nice Nick name, all I need now is a "white glass tint" w' a pair of black round holes on the windshield to look the part good enough...how about a set of white sheets as well, it will make the look more complete.

Well, Have them write a statement that "to the best of their knowledge" your actions etc...etc... would not void the warranty, then have them signed it and "Notarized" at the presence of an attorney. and WOOHOO......! Make the car a Ferrari Enzo Killer...

Lets get serious, They will void your warranty instantly.

You think they will replace your Low mileage Blown engine after you install a procede/xede/ etc. I am not in any way implying that the Pro/Xede/AA could blown your engine, but what "IF" you substantially "just" damage the engine and to their knowledge, you had an aftermarket product wich could have been a helping factor to the matter. Good Luck with that.

Correct me if I am wrong, Shiv him self said that if your dealer finds out, they will cancel your warranty.

He would have kept going? Let's get real a cop from a dead stop or going 80 and less is not catching up quick.

I know it sounds all raceboy ish and such. But if you are ever going that fast your best bet is to keep going and get off at the whatever exit you see fitting.

If someone PMd me that I would tell them to go fuck themselves, then invite them to my house, and when they show up, put a sledge hammer through their windshield. Love my dealer, but the first time they come trolling onto the boards to find me and harrass me, is the last time I or anyone in my family buys from them, and would quickly lead to me paying everyone up to the owner of the place a visit to discuss with them harrassment laws. Sorry our curiosity has caused you any inconvenience. Thanks for the info

Last time I checked, radio waves travel at about 286,000 miles per second. Helicopters travel in the 200+ mph range. Helicopters have radios.

Get the picture?

I do and that is irrelevant in many cases. First off you can have as many radio signals as you want. If the guy is smart enough he can get away quick enough to either keep going where he was or go somewhere and wait it out.

Secondly, unless those helicopters and any aircraft are already in the air it will be hard to get the guy if he is smart and doesnt just keep going straight down the highway.

I get your point though.
