I don't know if I did the Process Car with the right procedure. My CAS still has my custom option after I tought I did reset of everything.

Are you doing "F3 - Process Car" and "F1 - Code car" ?

woodpecka, remove the 6NN. you do not need it unless you have the new combobox installed in place of the MULF.

alex, the voice control language is set inside the MULF. so unless you can do a trc dump of the MULF and then edit the settings and write back via MAN file, guess you're kinda out of luck on this.

I just found a way to set the Voice Control in English! The only part I can't test now is the microphone. There is an option "MICROPHONE_MUTE" which I don't know how it should be set. I will try the other option later if I have an issue.

With the new radio, BT, USB and VoiceControl are integrated into the radio 2URAD.

$6NN is suppose to be the option for the integrated BT but it doesn't look to work on my radio.

technically 6NN does not exist for your car's built date. you may have to change the built date to a much later one in order to get it recognised.

I think this was the same problem for some 6FL retrofits as the earlier built dates do not have this as option.

You are right. To get the USB from the reset I had to put #0911.

BTW, NCS doesn't let me using #1211 or #1012...I don't know why.

Supposed to be a way to start the ventilation before you take the car.

this would need some scheduling, I suppose
Scheduling could work in the morning, but I don't need ventilation at that time of the day, it should be cold

You must change a value in the radio.

A sg_reset did it for me but I switch in French by manually changing the MAN file.

what value? Anyway, I can't read the ECU. I did and worked sg_reset though, but it didn't change the gong volume

I forgot to test the voice language, to see if it has changed

SPRACHE_SVS but it's useless if you can't write on the radio ecu.

Cool! For whatever reason, I set the VO to German language version and couldn't get the German voice commands. Oh well! Glad you got it.

Garage List
2011 BMW M3  [7.00]
Got bluetooth pairing with a phone but for some reason it keeps saying, "please insert sim card" on the idrive screen. any ideas??

Here's what we did
- added $644 to vo, fa_write to cas/nfrm
- expert mode reset 2mulf module. it errored out but then changed job to sg_reset and continued
- bluetooth pairs and calls work but a message appears stating, please insert sim card instead of showing contacts in idrive

This is for a 2008 335 with idrive. Thanks in advance for your help

[update] --> turned off car and back on. All works okay...

For a month I've been trying to code the thing. Nothing I tried worked. I added $644 to the VO easily enough (see Changing the Vehicle Order, attached), but nothing I tried could get the radio to respond to the updated VO.

1. Open NCS Expert.
2. File>load revtor's profile
3. F1, then F3, then E89, OK, CAS, OK (as usual)
4. Back
5. At this point, open FSW_PSW.trc, clear it, then save as FSW_PSW.MAN
6. Process Car
7. Other functions (F5, I think? At this point I'm going from memory, but I don't want to re-flash the car)
8. Load from FswPsw (as usual)
9. Process car (again).
Here, I got an error on the 2MULF (as you normally would trying to SG_CODIEREN it). I lost hope. But in desperation:
10. Change job to SG_RESET
11. Process Car. This now resets all modules one by one.
At this point, the radio restarted and I realized there was a TEL option in the menu. YIPPIEEEEEEEEEE!
This work for me as well. 2011 E90, no telephone prep, MULF2, Professional Radio.

I wired the mic following instructions on this board and installed the bluetooth antenna in the trunk.

Thanks e90post !!!!
