It may be best to trade for the 18's, you'll eventually need service done to your car...

OP on morals you could try telling him to work out a deal. Then again, when you drive off a lot, "the car is yours as is" basis takes into play. |

Yes I find it hard to believe once you took delivery of the car they could do anything about the wheels. Dealerships screw people all day long, but no one can get one over on them. Your not being scandalous keeping the wheels, your being normal. If they wanted to waste your time to bring it back, I would tell them you need to be compensated for that time and mess up.

Moral Option.
Tell the dealer that you want to be compensated for taking your time to goto the dealer and etc etc... Or tell them that you are a really busy person, and wouldn't be able to get out there for awhile, then ask how much do I have to pay to keep these wheels? Instead of the inconvenience. Immoral option: Tell them to shove it, and it's not your problem. |

I remember when my bro' bought his first car, he signed the paperwork then they called him to tell him the deal needs to be rewritten, they made a 2k arithmetical error. Now how stupid would a person be, to go back in, and say here, we'll rip this up, rewrite if for 2k more? LOL He held them to it.

However, if you bought this off the lot with the 19's, part of seeing the car probably sold it, and I would expect to get the car I saw for the price I negotiated. Work out something if you plan to keep good relations. Don't just tell them to pound sand, or you might get the other end when you need them for service. |

On the day of delivery the car was prepped the C/A delivered the vehicle and i'm sure sat in the auto and went over things did he notice this then?? If so the dealership could have made the swap right then and there with zero issues...Like they didn't have the chance?? I know someone who this happened to and the dealership did not care it was assembled that way so they let it ride and considered this a stroke of luck for the buyer end of story.

What if you left your cell phone in a loaner and when you went to get it they told you to piss off?
Both cases are accidentally giving something away that they didn't mean to...

Lets look at this from the reverse. If the guy bought a car and thought he got 19" wheels but turned out he only had 18" and the transaction was done and he was home with the car what do you think the chance of the dealer changing the wheels would be? Not a chance I would take the car back unless there was something in writing and I agreed in advance. I would be suspicious that the dealer is playing a game. I have had two issues like this over the years . First was boss said I sold you the car too cheap so the manager calls me 2 days after the sale and asks for more money. The second we should have pulled the alarm but forgot to so you got it free. I actually asked them to pull the stupid alarm so I brought it back and had them do it. I did not however agree to pay more for a car I legally agreed to buy two days sooner. It all boils down to if the buyer thinks this is a bait and switch or an honest mistake.
