Also had transfer case fluid drained/changes.

Thought of tranny, differential or t case failure is scary out of warranty.

I had the fluid, pan and filter done along with front and rear differential fluid just a couple months ago. Total cost was around $900.

I did the OFH gasket myself and gasket was around $10.
$900 hmmm ...did u go to the dealer for that?

I had my transfer case replaced under warranty so I assume they would have changed the fluid as well?

lol....I travel across Ontario and the upper US states. A bit of a road warrior at times. Like driving in something that is fun and can handle well. This car, like my e46 previously does the trick just fine. These cars are build to handle high mileage. The trick is that you need to know a great mechanic and absolutely need to be proactive with maintenance. Knowing how to properly drive cars like these never hurts either...like an old BMW ad said..."Driver's wanted"

Right at 87,000 right now. One HPFP at 71,000. Water pump and 60,000. Spark Plugs at 68,000 and still gives me a boner when I sit in it.
This one is production of 4/2007 so no oil cooler, but temperatures have never gone above 270.
Need to do the oil filter housing gasket and a gasket on the mechatronic transmission as adviced by bmw.
ORIGINAL TURBOS still... knock on wood...

71k e90 original turbos (rattling) but hopefully my pro tune will fix that. Engine valve gasket at 67k plugs and coils at 68k. Original water pump and hpfp. New spec stage 2 clutch because the oem couldn't hold e85. Mostly problem free for the most part. Owned it for about a year.

March 2007 build. 86k miles. Tuned since 55k. Have had both turbos replaced due to wastegate rattle, oil filter housing gasket, new hpfp from recall, replaced differential. Other than that no real problems. Proactively replaced waterpump/tstat around 84k
