It seems I'm having the same issue. Install went perfectly, I'm able to connect to the car in both INPA and NCSExpert, but when I change things they don't take. It says coding, then coding successful, car makes the audible ding sound that something happened but nothing actually changes. I will try to use CNCoding Profile tomorrow night and see if thats my solution. I don't understand why it would work though when the instructions say to use Expert Profile.

Round two. Everything worked perfectly and I successfully coded my car! My thanks goes out to wildcatcrazy for this thread. My new favorite thing about my car; it doesn't ding at all when the dam door is open!

Also, make sure during the install that you delete the entire NCSEXPER, EC-APPS and EDIABAS folders before you copy my folders onto your C drive. Instead of copying/overwriting the folders that were initially created during the install.

wildcatcrazy I am having issues registering a new battery with Tool32.

I open Tool32 and try to load a profile and nothing ever opens I just get the spinning windows circle forever. I have tried loading 08MSV70.PRG.

I am assuming this is the correct one as I have a 2008 328i E90.

Thanks for all your help and contributions to this community!

Mediafire zip file corrupted

I have been trying to download the tools from mediafire but the downloaded zip file is always corrupted. If I download a single file it is fine. I have tried different browsers and OSes. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

You must use the 7Zip software to unzip it.

I am using 7zip for all my archives but because it is normally the first tool I install on a machine they were pretty outdated. Updated to the latest and now it appears to unzip them although I still get an error "Unexpected end of data"

Thanks guys!

Hey Wildcat, you helped me sometime ago but now i have very strange issue! I know how coding works and i know steps, i did coding myself on this computer through this very cable on my own car summertime but now the issue is NCS Expert is not able to write edited .Man file!!!
For example if i read Airbag and want to disable faher (driver seatbelt) warning i read with NCS then edit TRC with dummy then save .man file then change job in NCS to SG_Co..., process, then go through ignition cycle, then _Lessen with NCS again and values are still unchanged!(((

Also:
I did used 2.0 and 3.0 port on my laptop with no success
I did try it with car running, ignition ON (not running), charging with 40AMP, 20AMP and 2Amp settings on charger with NO SUCCESS
I deleted TRC file and leave .man file and process with WRITE (CG_CODIEREN) with NCS it didn't do anything
it just looks like NCS is writing original VO setting to the module im working with...

If YOU or anyone else know/read/face this or similar problem PLEASE let me know where to read more about it or what you did to solve this!

EDIT: Car is 2009 (LCI) E90 335D

Thank you for your help, that does work but all the menus are still in German. I ended up wiping my computer and reinstalling everything following this diy http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=918608. All works great now.

Make sure you are using the CNCoding profile, not ExpertMode.
