Brake fluid bubbles (imo), same thing happened to me on stock brakes/fluid. Did a flush, it was all good. I changed pads same time though, so it could have been that I guess. |

So looks like everyone had their share of fun!
Glad you guys liked it. lol After you guys left, I gave out my prize, then it was all about formula practice for me. you guys should have stayed and spectate that as welll since it is so different. Anyway, next one is on August 30th Sunday from 8 to 12(with possible extention like yesterday to 1). To my standard yesterday was a full house, but even then im sure all of you didnt have to wait a single sec at the entrance to the track. Anyone got some pictures of myself in the GTR?(that car was a monster. It only took me mere 10 min to fimilarize myself to run good consistant laptime and I wasnt even pushing it). Also some pictures of other genesis, TT, pulsar would be good. Thanks! Anyone insterested in coming to next event? |

Also, let me clarify some myth.
OEM break pads are more then good enough for occasional track days(less then 10 times per season)(I used to go with cheaper stock replacements on my early days of lapping to save a lot of money, that was about 10 years ago.) It is break fluid that you must switch(with higher boiling pt. FYI, I run superblue racing) and better if you upgrade your brake lines as well. Tires, TRUE, it is a very important factor in trackdays, HOWEVER, OEM performance all season are more then enough for occasional drivers as well(>10 per season). R-comps. Wrong, we do not recommend using rcomps at performance school. Yes it develops alot of bad habits to drivers but most importantly, there is only so little room for error. It sticks, but tires do not warn you when they are about to loose and when you loose, you will LOOSE it. lol. |

I might still order the cool carbon pads that Nate mentioned. In fact, I think my priorities for mods have completely changed after this lapping experience. I always wondered why ppl would drop sick amounts of money on a BBK. I can completely comprehend now I'd love to go again... but cant make the 30th |

Honestly, I don't think you need BBKs. The rotors on the 335 are plenty big. Even stock brakes will overpower your tires. So maybe a BBK is need with Rcomps...dunno.
Pads and high temp brake fluid would be plenty methinks! Then all we need to do is to figure out how to deal with the crappy suspensions you and I got...farg...
