April Production Thread

^ I called the 800 number again and my car went back to "In Transit". You'd think BMW would have a less flakey order tracking sytem, I can't imagine it's that hard to ensure your order status doesn't go backwards. Rambalu80, let us know what you CA says.

I got a 2006 Z4 Loaner for the next week and my CA told me he'd be surprised if my car didn't get there by Thursday or Friday. Even though I'm not driving a POS anymore, I still can't wait to be driving my own car after a quite a while now. Keeping my fingers crossed for Thursday or Friday!

Great news. Glad to see you are out of the Kia. What state are you located in? I'm going out of town on Friday afternoon so I hope I can pick it up before I leave.

Mine completed production on 04/17 and got on a vessel on 04/20.

I'm in TX. We're pretty much the same distance from the VPC. So I would think you should be able to take delivery on Thursday or Friday. I probably won't take delivery until Saturday because I live a 100 miles away from Houston and I would have to leave work early so I can take delivery on Friday before the stealership closes. You never know, I might just do that though!

I don't know if I could wait. Once I got the call I would sprint out of work like it was a fire drill and race to the dealer. Luckily my dealer is on the way to and from work. The only problem is that now my mind is set on delivery this week. I shouldn't have let myself get this excited, now if I don't get it before I leave town it is going to be pure torture. I bet I will get the call on Saturday and have to wait until Monday to actually pick it up.

Its hard to determine exactly how long, but the 1-800# live person told me production was complete Thursday 4/19, and on Friday they told me it should be there Friday or Saturday. But on the WW website it says it was booked on 4/17 and recieved Thursday 4/19. So it is quick, but the dates contradict each other. I assume the 1-800 # was guessing based on what the computer said.

And it left on the Courage 4/23. The Western Highway left 4/20 I think.

I agree. I am glad I am close to the dealer. Once I get the call, I am getting there ASAP.

Well, the OC says my car in En Route...but I can't get the VIN to show up on the WW site. I'm hoping I am on the Integrity....

hopefully you are on a WW ship which reports position, otherwise it a bit guessing game where your ship is!!!

estimated delivery 4th week in may

but better then nothing

i've heard alot of BS regarding shipping times... how accurate is WW logistics ? if i can knock a couple of days off the shipping time I may take delivery 5/19.

I just checked WW and I'm on the Toledo too. I work for a shipping company and the ETA is accurate, it will never be early only late (due to weather etc...). But at least it will arrive on 05/18/07. Now I can stop checking and go on with my life for the next week and a half.

I've read a lot of posts on this board and I don't recall anyone having their ship come early, but on the bright side I haven't read too much about ships being late either.
