Ha actually I don't. I don't have a creative mind unless I'm insulting someone. I guess just have all the font black. Pick a different font and if I don't like it I'll make an uncalled for personal insult.

Wrenching...

Sorry to post off topic... I've been posting on some of the other areas, and have been frequenting this thread. I would have been all over the Chicago photo shoot, but had to go to a family function. I used to be a semi-pro photographer (weddings), so the next time something like this event comes up, let me know, I would love to go. In fact I have some pretty decent bike racing pictures over on my website, www.unforgettablephotographs.com

I have a couple of questions for you gentleman. I am a new owner, getting my car about a month ago. I used to drive with the Chicago region of the PCA, and I am primarily a track junkie. I am doing some upgrades on my 335i. I am going to the Cool Carbon pads, and am looking for Permatex Ultra High temperature Brake Lubricant. Any idea where I can find it in the south Chicago/south suburbs area? I'm also looking for Motul 600 brake fluid...

I was wondering if any of you have a garage where you work on your cars. I have a two car garage that is a partial workshop, so I only have one bay, and it has a non-running sand rail/dune buggy in it. I can always push it out if the weather is decent if you guys wanted to come to my place. I live in the far South Side, Mt. Greenwood Beverly area. I also have a small fridge full of ice cold beer.

I wanted to know if any of you guys wanted to get together to wrench on our cars. I'm so/so with a wrench. I'll do tune-ups, change oil, replace brake pads, and the like, but have no formal training. I worked for my family construction business for 20 years, and have been wrenching on trucks and heavy equipment for quite a while. I was just hoping some other guys who were pretty talented with a set of tools, or some formal training (I have a pretty complete set of tools.) would want to help each other out.

Dan

EDIT: Fixed Link. I should know my own website, for the Sake of Pete...

Sounds fun Dan... I'm sure a few guys would be down to do some stuff to their cars.

As for the stuff you are looking for, I've seen the cool carbon pads at www.bavauto.com but I've never seen the brake fluid/lube before.

Just keep checking in and we will be having another meet sometime soon.

well dan, first off congrats on your new car. of course youll need to post up pictures or well come to your home and burn it down. secondly thanks for offering your place for us to work on our cars.

im not too sure where u can find your brake lube or motul fluid(other than the local auto stores). im sure someone here will chime in with help tho. i dont think we have anyone in our group that has formal training, but i know theyre out there. i know myself and others would enjoy having them around. most automotive "skills" ive learned have been from this website. so i can do some pretty basic stuff.

oh yea, we all love beer too so your batting a 1.000 with me

man, I can never tell when u are guys are serious or not... first with the cuban flag, then with the old english >.<

Just find anything you like the font on, a logo, a menu, a web page, anything. post it up and I will get you something you like. No reason to compromise, not like this is costing either of us money.
