they said there web dept is slow but she knows for a fact that the 2009.1 is released and i even went and called the dealer they have it at the parts but for 200 i can go buy a new nav system with this amount

I don't think were going to get the new disc this time around. Someone must buy and rip it. The new iDrive is HD based and does not use a disc for its database. So those who get a new car don't have a disc they can rip for everyone anymore.

AFAIK 2009 5-series still use the "outgoing" iDrive. So we may not be out of luck quite yet.

New Nav DVD 2009.1
just so you all know new nav dvd is available for download from mininova.org
Just a quick question. Downloaded my copy, put it on dvd-r, when I inserted it in dvd drive in my car it told me to turn it off and restarted in 5 minutes so it can perform an update. came back to the car in about 10 min, turned on the ignition and iDrive just kept on power cycling. It would play radio for about 10-15 seconds then radio volume would start getting lower and iDrive display would disappear. After removing new nav dvd it started working just fine. Any ideas??? |
