Thanks guys. No plans for boost on my e46, I just got a n/a flash from eurocharged this morning though. I plan to pick up another n54 in the coming months. Hopefully I'll get the Vishnu single turbo kit at that time, too

my AFR's are crazy lean early on... but no codes, no timing pulls, and car feels great... any idea? could I have installed something wrong and it's causing the AFR to read incorrect? or maybe a sensor is done?

Honestly, id drop down to the stock map, call shiv tomorrow and discuss and show him those logs. That doesn't look right to me and id warn against driving the car under those conditions. I can pm you his cell if you want

Bryce et. al...so I don't think I'm due to replace coils or anything yet but just doing a little recon for when I do...so a few questions:
1) Is Bosch the OEM for these? ECS tuning has both the BMW and the Bosch listed ust like the spark plugs. Any difference when it comes to the coilpacks? 2) Do you need to purchase the coil locks or can they be used from the old ones? they're all of $1 a piece, but was just curious... 3) Is it customary to replace plugs at the same time even if you're not having any issues or if the spark plugs aren't that old (the guidance I've heard is 20k mi if you have a tune)? shanksh in advance

so I am new to looking at logs to forgive me if I am not looking at this right, but it seems as though his fuel trims are totally maxed out at 34%. Can't that be adjusted?

yea, he can change the OL fueling to 100, but i think shiv should look at the logs because of how lean the car is running. maxed out fuel trims at his power level are somewhat of a concern, too.

2. coil locks aren't necessary to purchase. they come with the coil packs (mine did at least). 3. no, you can change coils without changing plugs, if your plugs are relatively new (not the original ones on the car still, changed within 15k miles or so). otherwise, i'd change plugs at the same time. i changed my plugs, was still getting occasional misfires, so i changed the coils 3k miles or so later, but left the original plugs. no issues. |

Damn, ECS has EVERYTHING --- I had to buy the spark plugs on short notice, but these are almost 1/2 of what I paid for 6. Def saving myself a headache from now on & do one-stop shopping off their site.

Bryce -- Just poked around on ECS' website, is there any difference between Redline & the OEM Shell AT fluid?? Just wondering if ppl have had a better experience w/ one over the other?

sorry, i don't really know anything about AT fluid; i only drive manual's. i do know that redline MT fluid, differential fluid, even engine oil is awesome stuff. i'd lean towards recommending redline fluid for your AT, but search around a little bit and see if you can find more info. i'd hate to recommend something i don't use or know much about. i will say, i put redline differential fluid and MT fluid in my zhp and the shifts are a lot smoother now
