Likely not because it's still a repair and logged by and through your VIN. Unless you're very close with someone in service and they're willing to do something on the side, you can only get a replacement with a VIN.

i'm finally getting mine done. Got the call the other day and bringing my car in next Wednesday.

only certain batches i assume..... my 2011 e90 does not have thr airbag recalls.

That reminds me, I should get a new cover and stuff so they can possibly just replace it all at the same time. The plastic that surrounds all my buttons and such is looks kind of bad, so I'd love a new one.

But the trim is not removed during airbag removal. Nothing but the airbag comes out, so they might charge you for that.
