I'll basically have a new car. My insurance company paid $9000 in June to have my car totally repainted, body work, aftermarket parts because of hail. BMW replaced both turbos at exactly 49,998 miles (55,000) now...

So far we are $20,000 in damage and there is still a little left to look at. I'm pretty sure they are going to total it. With that said, I'm gonna look for another e90 or e92 07-10. MT, Sport package, Premium package, cold weather, navi, (Maybe the M-tech package), black or white or one of the darker blues BMW has, black dakota or terra interior. I've gotta lot of searching to do...damn it..

That's a good point, never thought of it that way. Just kind of sucks because I really liked that car. That's why I switched from Audi. Oh well, starting from scratch isn't bad I suppose.

You will however have aftermarket paint, and from my experience, aftermarket paint doesn't hold up at all in Colorado. If they end up not totaling and giving you new parts, I would HIGHLY recommend a clear bra be put over the painted bits in the front, or just count on probably a repaint in 5 years or so. |

20 days and they cant decide yet? I would start to put some pressure and i'm pretty sure it'll count at this point. Are they aware of the option you prefer?
I hope you got a great rental car in the meantime...

Hurry up and get that deal done... No way a 2007 335 is worth upwards of 29 grand. Good for you getting this type of deal.

Crap, sorry about your accident and the totaling. At least her insurance is paying for everything. Hope they give you a fair price for the value of the car.

Damn! 2007 335i E90 depending on the options is probably worth right around 28 or 29k, so this is pushing the value limit for sure.
Subframe damage probably for sure, what about frame? If its running that high, then I would say you definitely don't want this thing fixed....frame damage is bad mojo. |
