Bigger Turbos.

Our turbos are smaller so at higher RPM's they are just going to blow hot air and not make power up top.

+1, theres some people making single turbo conversions for the car already. Only thing we can do is wait it out and see what happenes.

That's awesome, but.....how do we get all that power controlled to the ground? All that power is fantastic, but right now with a stock set up - and with the DSC on - when ever I floor it in 2nd gear sometimes, The DSC kicks in because the wheels are slipping like crazy (sometimes). So, theoretically, with + 360HP what additional set up do you recommend Shiv?

Perhaps suggest:
- tire selection for the sport package 18?
- upgrade to 19 in tires and rims?

I would think that a good tire should be enough, but what do you recommend?

Detailed answer: It's only at 1/2 to full throttle in 1st gear that the car can't hook up. In 2nd gear, the car hooks up no problem up to 3/4 throttle. Full throttle can make the tires spin if conditions are just right (or is that wrong? haha). The car does chirp its tires shifting quickly into 3rd gear. But once in the gear, there is no traction issue at all. We've done some pretty neat tricks with boost response that I'll disclose in detail soon. Quick story is that made our computer predictive of what kind of power delivery the driver wants. It will range from a progressive spool up to an "Slam Bam!" instant spool up depending on what it determines to be most appropriate for the situation. It's pretty damn neat. And it works too!!! When you're driving around normally, you don't have to worry about wheelspin (even with DTC off). But when you're driving hard, it's all you in control.

Cheers,
shiv

Nevermind......hee-hee. I guess you answered my question before I even thought of it. As usual.

But in terms of tires, any suggestions though?

Throttle modulation. As silly as it sounds, one of the worst habits I see with drivers is that they treat the throttle like an on/off switch. Watch a good driver (in-cockpit rally footage is a good example) and you'll see him use all kinds of trottle angles to get him where he wants to go as quickly as possible. People are always so quick to improve grip when the absolute most fun you can have is when you're riding that grip/slip threshold. It also where you learn the most as a driver.

just my 2c,
Shiv

I completely agree with you Shiv. Modulation is always the key. I guess I was just looking for an extra edge just in case.

19" tires will give you less traction due to the smaller sidewall vs 18s of eaqual width.

Just get some sticky 18s.

Very nice work Shiv, those are some great #'s. I'm still curious as to seeing what type of gains you can make by replacing the downpipes. Do you have any plans to do this in the future?

Freaking sweet, Man I cant wait to see what is in store for the 335I. Nice work shiv life keeps getting sweeter for the 335. I might have to get a 335I hehe.

Now with this much HP the 335I is really lacking a limited slip.

The best steak I've ever eaten. Awesome food.(View's not bad either) I was cutting the steak with a fork.

When we were there, there were 70 year olds eating. I thought that was pretty strange til I tasted the food. My opinion, better than Ruth Chris and Abe&Louie's

I won't give up the low lag for power if I can get these numbers out of the tiny twins, warranty aside. My ambitions arent in the Supra range... This is already looking like excess for a daily driver.

Is Shiv still running the stock tires? I'd bet they're nearly bald at this point with all of the hoonage this test mule is enduring.

Do you have to get the car dyno tuned with exede. I am stationed in germany and don't know how to go about getting it done over here.

shiv you have inspired me to get the 335i with this software, however, how will this effect the car down the road, i assume it will drastically reduce the life of the vehicle, what are your thoughts on this?
