Trying to do this mod right now, anyone know how to get to the circuit board at this point? I don't want to break anything, am I just supposed to pry it off?
EDIT: Figured it out, you need to pop out the pin that it rotates on. Will post more pictures when I'm done. Last edited by 7786; 06-22-2013 at 11:01 AM.. |

Lci wheel into pre lci 07' e9x
Finally got this to work via rewire (paddles) & altering MF button wires into different arrangement. Works perfectly without fault! Massive improvement over previous SSG wheel! Thanks to all you people posting!! |

I got mine from Nexon and had them do the rewiring. They still didn't work the first time I got them. I e-mailed them and they sent me a couple pictures showing me how to swap the ground pins. Once i did that they worked just fine.
The rewiring is of course more than moving the ground wire pins, but depending on your year and model, the location of the ground pins might be different. It took me 10 minutes to make the adjustment and they are now perfect! Love the updated look, and I'm in the Left side Down, Right side Up shifting crowd!

It's the pin it pivots on. It's a plastic pin that tapers from one side to the next. Push on it from the smaller diameter side and it will pop right out. If you still need help let me know.

Thread revival lol.
I did this for a buddies E92 yesterday. Modified the paddles per the diagram - but they would not work. The solution was swapping the pins around. The middle pin grounds the system and one of the others (pin 1 and pin 3) will cause an up or down shift. I took the left paddle and went pin 1 and pin 2, and pin 2 and pin 3 for the right paddle. Then tested. If the left paddle upshifts, swap the outside pin over, vice versa for the right side.

You must remove the resistors as indicated in the diagrams by other users. I'm just adding more info on how to properly install them once you have done this.
"Pins" refers to the metal pins in each paddles 3 pin wiring harness. Once you open up the wiring harness, you will be able to push the small release tab on each pin to slide it out and relocate it. This is entirely separate from any work with the resistors.

Did yours come threaded with a metal piece inside? Or do I get a right screw and just screw it in? |
