I've got an FBO N55 running Stage 2+ OTS map from Cobb.
For me, it's plenty of power so I don't need more of that, but I am wondering if the MHD maps will be more drive-able? I'd take a flatter, more predictable power curve over more power. Is that something we can expect? |

I think he is talking about if they had the same sized turbo. The N55 should be able to make more power, but it hasn't been proven yet.

I can't comment on the M2. But rumor has it that Martial @ MHD will have one soon. ;-) I'm sure I'll be able to crack 400 whp on my stock turbo N55, but it's not something I would recommend doing for those with stock turbo. Save your money and get a Pure Stg2. Hopefully we'll have more options to chose from in the future, but after finishing my stock turbo base maps, I'll be moving on to a Pure Stg2. Pure Turbos can talk more about other options they are working on for the N55 platform. |

May be a dumb question...but why would you need your JB4 piggyback if you already have a flash tune with MHD??

2011 E90 N55 here. Can't wait for this to be a thing. Currently FBO as well using Cobb Stage 2 +FMIC Agg and want more options. Will go for Pure Stage 2 soon, but looking to see what I can try in the meantime.

I personally haven't decided yet if I will ditch the JB4 once MHD comes out.

Depending on your fuel quality and rating, you can't put an actual number on the power until you tune the car. 330 whp shouldn't be out of the question for most.
I personally do not recommend the JB4. A proper flash tune will make the same power, be more consistent and smoother. So, the JB4 not required and in my opinion doesn't add any value. Map switching is a novelty and if you truly need to switch maps you will need to flash anyway. All of the other integration reasons people use to justify using it is also pointless and not required also. |

I think people don't truly understand what's going on and get a false sense of security with the piggyback. Marketing plays a big role in that. For the N54 community, the JB4 customers had a discounted price which made it an easier decision to keep the JB4. That's not the case for the N55. The flash module will be more expensive and full featured as there won't be a JB4 only flash option. I think you'll really be impressed with the maps. I can't wait until additional features are included. So far my car is a blast to drive. DCT is super quick and the car is super smooth.

I am new to the flash vs piggyback vs stacking discussion so bear with me but...
Will this flash have the fuel gauge turns into boost gauge? Will it come with multiple maps out of the gate? If I already have a factory installed PPK, will it get overwritten? and finally, do I need some type of handheld device to swap maps (via the OBD port)? thanks for helping a newb! |

2. It will come with a few OTS maps. 3. Yes it will get overwritten, but MHD allows you enable the ppk burbles if you wish. 4. You need a couple of cables and an Android or iOS device. |

I was under the impression this will only be compatible with Android.
