hey guys, how about Queen Elizabeth Park?
There is a huge parking lot on top of the hill, by the Conservatory. Google Map http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...m=1&iwloc=addr |

Queen Elizabeth Park isn't the best for lowered cars plus its quite a hassle getting around the Cambie area with all the RAV line construction...just my 2cents...

SFU?? thats central for people who live in suburbs (Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, etc) and its not too far for people in Vancouver and Richmond
there are plenty of empty parking lots on weekends

Here's another suggestion: Burnaby Lake Park, parking lot beside the Rowing Pavillion, which is just off Sperling Street on Roberts Street. I think it's good because:
A) it's fairly central (in Burnaby) B) it's just off Highway #1 C) the parking lot is for free D) the parking lot is generally deserted at this time of year. I think this is the best because it is just off HWY #1. For those of us going up to Squamish...we can all just hop back onto HWY #1 afterwards. It's in central Burnaby...so not too far east for the Vancouver people...and not too far west for the sub-urb people. What do you guys think? Last edited by spacedogg; 03-15-2007 at 08:54 PM.. |

Another Suggestion
Horizons at Burnaby Mountain (little red A on the map)
Huge Parking Lot; beautiful view; and a fun drive up and down It's close to the Hwy for those coming in from East or West. And it'll be out of Vancouver; which, let's face it, is a gong show with the RAV Line construction, and the Sun Run being that day as well. PM me if you've got any more suggestions and we'll go with the most popular choice. I'll update the Meets Calendar this weekend with more details. Cheers.

Dear Canadian members,
Paul (aka Paullo) joined the UK members for the third UK meet on Saturday. It was an absolute pleasure having a fellow E90 owner join us and all the way from Canada too! It was just a shame that Paul forgot his car.... Anyway, hope you guys have a great Vancouver meet and have as much fun as we did!!! Especially the drive we had!! Cheers! |

Thanks!
Hey Paul-
Thanks for the kind words; and the generocity that you and the rest of the UK E90 members showed me on Saturday. I really had a great time, shame I forgot my car though Vancouver; if we can put together something like what the UK members did this past weekend; well worth the effort! The meet was great, food was brought and cooked for everyone and the drive afterwards,... something to behold. I'll see if I can upload the onboard video I took in Beauforty's car of the country road cruise. These guys have some of the best backroads and twisties I've ever held witness to. Just have to watch out for tractors, motorcycles parked on the side, and the odd lorrie Especially at 90mph!!!!

Lewis- Awesome. That's fantastic, really appreciate anything you and the MWDesign crew can help out with; very cool
e90sexion- A few suggestions for locations outside of Vancouver were brought up; and it made sense, with the whole RAV mess going on, as well, the Sun Run is that day, so avoiding downtown Vancouver is pretty much a given! ehhhwik- You bet! Anyone and everyone is welcome. Although it's under the guise of a 'E90Post.com' meet; really, it's about BMW enthusiasts, and the last time I checked, a 645 is a BMW ***Although; when it comes to photos at the meet, I am going to ask that the E90's get together, and we'll put the E46's, X3's and 6'ers at one end***

Ivan-
You can always drive out to the YVR-3 Meet? Actually, that would be really cool. I was at the last UK E90Post meet this past weekend. Great time, good people, and beautiful cars
