Unfortuntely, I am not the one who determine the price of the trim. I will ask our marketing manager about the final price of the trim. I think he can give me a rough estimate on the price
From experience, our E46 coupe trim were selling for 525USD. I am thinking that the price for the E90 trim will be a bit more expensive due to the complexity of the clips and pins on the base and the larger area of the trim itself too. I really cannot give a solid price to you guys at this moment, I will let you guys know more about the price after I talk to the marketing manager. |

I just talked to our marketing manager, and he said it is still too early to disclose the price of the trim. However, from his words, there will be a introductory price to advertise our trim to the E90 community. And the price will definitely be under 600USD. I know, it is more expensive than I expected, however, I can almost gareentee that the trim will fit like oem. |

Keep in mind that the e46 trim is 550USD with very little area of carbon fiber. Imagine, the whole area of the center console piece in carbon fiber and the whole area of dash pieces in carbon fiber That's a lot of carbon fiber you can see and touch comparing to the e46. Quote:

We will make the center console piece exactly the same as the stock piece. We thought about replacing the stock rubber cointray (the tray just in front of the armrest) with a little carbon fiber tray. However, we found that it will look ugly if you guys scatched up the clearcoat of the tray when storing stuff there. We never planned on changing the ciggarette lighter compartment. |

Can you please clarify? Will the cigaret/ashtray door/cover be CF?

Ok, look at the picture below, the design of the trim will be exactly like oem. The cointray we thought about replacing with carbon fiber tray is the little rubber tray (see red errow). The cigarrette tray (see purple errow) will be in carbon fiber, well, the skin of the tray cover will be in carbon fiber. Anywhere in alumimum will be in carbon fiber too. Hope this clarify things up. Let me know if you guys have more questions or suggestions. Last edited by Rorsa CF; 07-03-2006 at 09:41 PM.. |

Thank you for the patient from all of you, me and my co-workers will try to get the trim done as soon as we can. Quote:
This kind of comment does give both me and my co-workers energy to work hard. UPDATE: I was trying to test fit the center console piece yesterday(just the base without carbon lay over), and I manage to break some of the clips for 3 sets of the center console piece. We now have to use another less fragile material for the base (bottom)before we lay the carbon fiber........sorry for the delay. We do encounter some challenge make this trims. However, the final product will be fit like oem. And we are not far alway from finish. |

if the fit and finish is not as good as hartge or bmw, i'd rather pay $2000 and get the hartge, nothing is worth a headache.
so make sure the fit and finish is good. |

We are now going to use another material that is less fragile to make the base of the trims. If the result is satisfying, we can move on to the final stage - laying carbon fiber. At that point, we will be very close to finish. |
