where did you buy your plastidip? I think I want to buy matte black and glossy black if it's that easy and do my trim.

it looks great man!

Thanks. Im running 12mm in the front with 15mm in the rear. I'm rubbing in the rear since my tires are 265. So I will be going down to 10mm in the rear soon.

Who knows, my goal is to test how long it can last. I'll be doing two more coats this weekend just because. After 7 or 8 coats, it should feel more durable than it does already. Currently it has 5 full coats and a 6th one of just light touch up’s that we missed.

any idea where one can buy this internationally? I'll google it but may be there is already a known source people go to here?
Gloss can be applied; you'll need to run several coats to get that glossy, smooth surface look and feel. Dipyourcar.com is where I got mine. They may ship internationally.

No problem - if you don't want to look like a fool next time I'd suggest reading the thread, rather than getting mad at me.

We used black. I put a link on the main post I thought it would be a flame session for trying something new on a BMW so didn't bother to link it properly

Super easy just covering the bottom and top grills with blue tape and that's it you don't cover the headlights or taillights once your done they peel off perfectly. All the separations between light housing to body or window trim to body cut the plastidip so you just peel it right off and comes out perfect.

I have a bad feeling about this when you try to remove it 6 months from now. Other then that clean car and great idea.

looks great! How's it in terms of dust? Every time I used plastidip it seems to be a magnet for dirt/dust.

I'm thinking the same thing. But looks awesome! How long did it take you? did you prep the paint before?

Just like real flat black paint or flat vinyl. Attracts dirt/dust, but easy to clean off. Just soap and water.

Prep with blue tape and newspaper took about 45 minutes doing it right. Actual painting took around 4 1/2 hours to complete.
