A fair price IMO opinion would be somewhere around 1200-1500. The BMW PE retails at the dealer for what 1299? I know u can find it for less but I think that's the general retail at most part counters. The PE is a 2 piece system like this one. So that's kinda what I'm basing my price on. If it were in that area without question it would be on my car. But 3k? Ehhhh maybe if I get a really nice holiday bonus lol
The bmwpe is an axle back and sounds worse

This is a cat delete cat back with larger piping .. The bmwpe is worth maybe $800 for the bmw quality of it, but the laptorr would sell much more for 1500-2k

Don't forget akrapovik for the 1m is 7k, an kriessieg for the r32 golf is 7k

This is 'relatively cheap' for the quality sound and upgrade. Compared to $1300 (it that was how much you paid) for a bmwpe and it's very reasonable haha

But compared to $1000ish for a custom cat back with custom muffler, it's $1500 EXTRA purely for the sound.

I'd love to hear it with MMW's headers

And complete Eisenmann set up is above $2k. I'm lucky I sourced half that price.

Brand new for Laptorr price is acceptable.

I can't believe you are comparing, a resonator pipe and adjustable tips to an exhaust SYSTEM.

Horrible example, which clearly doesn't relate in this case.

If you're satisfied with a pipe and a resonator tube then so be it, just don't come into this thread and post non-sense -- then expect not to get yelled at when trying to compare something that isn't even on the same level.

If a YouTube sound clip recorded at the side of the road can get people so uptight about a comment relevant to the sound of an exhaust pipe, I guess you deserved not having it.

That exhaust sounds awesome. My full Eisenmann will be on my doorstep with my very angry wife signing for it. Hehe. I got it for a little over 2k shipped so the price of this exhaust is quite astounding.

I find it hard to judge whether an exhaust sounds good over the internet,I would need to hear it behind the wheel.....and I don't think many would spend this much on this platform.....surly not me!

This thread was made back in 2012 and the exchange rate back then was much different. According to x-rates.com, 190,000 yen at the time this thread was started was about $2400...... But it's 2015 and $1600 is definitely reasonable now. Anyone gonna go for it?

I know, I saw the thread date, but was just throwin' it out there. I'm not interested as it wouldn't fit my 128i, but for the quality I see from the pictures, and the sound I hear, I think it is definitely worth $1600. I assume LAPTORR is a reputable Japanese brand?

I emailed them about it before. Yes, it's only $1600 but they also charge $400 for shipping. I don't think anyone in the U.S. has bought one according to them. Only in the Asian countries.

This is one of the biggest wastes of money I've ever seen in comparison to what's already available.
