RoyceE90 and ChazCulver thanks for the information! My Airlift V2 came in today and going to install the kit next weekend.

Before I going to install the kit I have another question: Some people on the E9x chassis have problems to drop the front very low on 18 or 19" wheels with the Airlift Front Kit.

The solve this problem to customize the front struts (see picture below) or leave the ARB links away... Does someone have experience with this or know how to (easy) solve this problem?

Not sure why others are having problems dropping it low. My frame rail was 1/8" off the ground with still more room to drop, with x Drive.

Hi guys my name is Ian and reside on the maltese island. I've had my e92 320d for about 6months.

I don't plan alot of mods just wanna keep it clean.

But I just ordered a new air-lift suspension kit. Got pretty much everything figured out except 1 tiny detail.

This regard the mudguard underneath the front fenders. I see alot with that savage stance wich makes me think they may have removed them to get that drop.

So my question is: Do the front mudguard restrict you guys from going lower, or have you removed them?

If you're on Airlift struts, you'll probably have to look into the modifications that others have done in this thread already to get the front lower.

Are you on Bagriders struts? The people on Airlift struts are having an issue. My front struts were built by bagriders before an e82 kit came out and I can tuck 17s in the front, and sit the bumper on the ground.

Just FYI, "Bagriders" and "Airlift" are the same struts. BagRiders do not create their own struts, they use different airlift struts to accomplish the same task.

For Instance. The struts I used were Airlift VW Mk5 Golf/GTI Struts, with the custom lower mounts, and fortune auto camber plates. The off the shelf e90 airlift struts are a little too long for x drive applications. All their struts are the same, the only different is the threaded lower mount, and camber plate.

Just wanted to clear that up, when people say they have "BagRiders Struts".

Yes, I understand that they use airlift parts. I meant that it was built by BagRiders. Also, I didn't think that Airlift made XI front struts, I thought you could only get them from BagRiders hence 'BagRiders struts'. My front struts are the same, they use the airlift components but different bottom mounts.

Pictures may not be of the actual kit.

Front struts are shorter, with different OD on the lower mount.

I wonder if this means the front goes lower on the 335i now. Lame.

They might. You'd need #75576 Cores, and swap your lower mounts, and top plates.

You could e-mail / call Airlift and ask them for the dimensional differences between the two struts to find out how much lower you could go. They dont publish that information on their website.

Have you tried threading the strut further into the lower mount to get more drop?

Good news for all e9x on airlift struts that may want to have more camber ... im working with a shop to design an adapter to give anywhere between 1 to 6 additional degree of camber after you have maxed out the camber plates !! I will give further details in the next coming weeks

with the e92 I think the problem comes into hitting the frame. At one point I had a pic of someone with an e92 that showed him aired all the way out...and his tire hitting the frame. So I don't think it would matter the size of the strut at some point your tire will hit the frame...but having smaller set ups (18,19, etc) you will be able to go lower...
