Even though there is some driver error and variables in drag racing, there is a soooooo much more in road racing. Road Racing no doubtedly would be more fun, and exhilirating- NO DOUBT AT ALL. But, unfortunately the hundreds of thousands of variables in one lap really does not give the real world data (and driver error measurements) that a simple quarter mile pass will do; at least not that I can imagine. Trap speeds tell alot about gains, are very tangible, and quite frankly they are hard to argue. The bottom line is that anyone wishing to quantify real world gains should be using a dragstrip in conjunction with a chassis dynomameter. In some cases some roll ons with other "known" vehicles is ok to get a concept of whats going on, although I wouldnt put everything into that.
jp the vbox would be a good start though. |

I'll tell you right now I most likely will not be going to a drag strip. perhaps at some point in the future once I'm done with all mods and I'm bored or something I'll go. the most testing I'll be doing in the short time will be vbox related

yes they, put it out in the market for a lil while, and ended up abandoning the turbos for sale. Im guessing it was a lot of work for them to make and ofcourse them having trouble producing a quality product thats efficient enough for proper use. I learnt the hard way.
And there costumer service is another issue at hand. |

What's interesting to note though is that the compressor outlet side is exactly the same with these as it is with RB units BUT the exhaust turbine hasn't been enlarged to match the larger compressor side, as it is the case with RB units (both compressor and turbine bigger)..just wanted to point it out as its something new and real life example for me at least of how important it is when making power with turbos to match the compressor and turbine sizing..many people have said this before, i know, but its good to see a real world example..
JP, I say next stop is a big single |

Yeah that's no secret, but at the time I needed new turbos and these were the only ones available (and it was especially nice because the shop that had them was a couple miles away from me). They were the only ones available for almost a full year too! waiting around was just not an option
Down the road I'll upgrade again when there are more options and lower prices. For now I'm happy with the way the car drives... it holds a bunch more boost than the stock turbos and holds that to redline much stronger. So all that being said, if the RB's were available a year ago I would have obviously gone that route. |

Mine have been running strong for 15-20k miles now. perhaps you had installer error? I heard of an instance where someone installed them and fucked up the oil lines and screwed up the turbos.

If you don't want to spend the money on the single kit, the RB's in my opinion are the only other turbos worth getting. I would personally get the single if my turbos were dead right now. If the single didn't exist I'd get the RB's
