Here, I removed the little unecessary wrinkle in the front bumper and added the sedan kidey grills.

Better or worse? You decide.

Thanks for the pics! It seems from all the spy-shots that we have that that's pretty close to what it'll look like. I have to say, I like it more and more. Looks hot.

Is that Ultramarine?

what bothers me is BMW's departure from thier logical naming system... the last two numbers in the name used to show the size of the engin... but the new car with the a 3L turbo apparently will be called the 335.... and yes, the e90 325 having a 3L engin bothers me too.... it would make a lot more sense if the new car was called the 330 it or something like that.... (since ti means it's a wagon)
adding the turbo and call it 35 at the end started from 535 twinturbodiesel - and i think it's correct because it has much more power.
BTW, 325 with detuned 3.0 engine is only for USA, in europe it's real 2.5. it didn't make into US because of petrol (?). and 323 is, I think, detuned 2.5 liter engine, as in 323 and 523 1995-2000...

Wow, quite elaborate photoshop, but very close to what we will get, IMO.

An M3 would usually have that little vented opening ahead of the door and behind the front wheel arch as well wouldn't it? But, then again, this is probably a mule.
yeah..just look at the humongo fenders..Those wheel widths look good for at least 10 inches..

Information that I posted quiet a while back

Both cabriolets will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.

BMW will also showcase other new 3 Series derivatives such as the coupe and possibly the M3 at Paris. BMW's 1 Series coupe could also be unveiled in September"

Is it possible that BMW will only unveil the E92 in September? And If this information is correct also the E93 cab, with the production of the E46 coupe finishing in may! Just a question how long after the E92 realease will the E93 Debut?

I suppose depending on price difference is it more worthwhile to hold back for the E93 being a metal folding top

Yes but the metal folding roof still won't make it a true coupe. The body won't be as stiff, and the rear/side profile of the car will look different from the Coupe. The cab will presumably have a longer rear end which I believe will make it look out of proportion as it does with most hard top convertibles. If however they were to make the folding roof as good as it is on the SL55 then it will look great, but according to the spy shots we have seen the cab will have a worse looking rear end than the Coupe.

Shame if it does.

The exterior looks eh...good and bad. The taillights suck. The interiori is pretty nice though. What's going on with the center console? Looks like I'm flying a jet with all those buttons.

Is this car supposed to be in the same class as the 3? Otherwise I don't really see the point of the post in this thread.

Hmmmm I Dont know so much if it is a competitor

The powertrain

High power output, maximum torque, refinement and a fascinating sound - these are the basic characteristics of a perfect GT engine, with a fascination that lies both in its potent performance and its everyday usability. The 5.0-litre `biturbo' V10 has these features plus the `bite' that comes from ample torque in all engine speed ranges and a willingness to run up to high speeds that is second to none.

This engine is a new design, capable of mobilising an impressive 441 kilowatts of power (600 bhp). FSI petrol direct injection, the advanced technology that is setting new standards and has already paved the way for historic victories in the 2001 and 2002 Le Mans 24-hour races and the American Le Mans Series, makes a decisive contribution to the engine's performance.

Among the most impressive features of the Audi Nuvolari quattro's ten-cylinder `biturbo' FSI engine's are its willingness to rev freely and the vigorous power flow available at all engine speeds. It accelerates the Gran Turismo from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and on to a maximum speed that has been governed to 250 km/h. The maximum torque of 750 Nm is available at an engine speed as low as 2,000 rpm and remains constant over a broad engine-speed range. All this results in powerful, not to say supreme, forward thrust, the ideal precondition for driving long distances in a sporting style and also when storming up winding mountain passes.

i think that concept audi will be the basis for the upcomming A5 (basically an A4 coupe). Of course it wont have that crazy engin, but it will look very close to that.

it's no bmw, but still, it's a damn good car. however, im a firm believer that competition improves the breed. this audi will ultimately cause bmw to build an even better 3series coupe. which can only mean good news for us bmw junkies....

now, enough with audis.... on to some relevent, serious toppics....

me want e92 now!!! NOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
