Can anyone recommend single walled exhaust tips? Cyba and Dimisa have double walled tips that look better IMO but seem to project different sound characteristics.

I can't find any burnt single tips and I couldn't even find cyba tips. I wanted some but honestly couldn't find any.

Hey @whiteFury, Just to clarify as I know this has been done before, but want to make sure I am on the same page as well. To modify the stock Muffler on my 2008 BMW 335i e92 I should do the following:

1. cut outsides of both mufflers and replace perforated pipe and canister with a straight solid pipe.

2. Leave all packing inside

3. AR Downpipes and secondary cat delete and replaced with vibrant resonators.

Will this sound louder and pop, with no drone and rasp? Just let me know what you think, I would really appreciate your feedback

Since you have a 08 I would replace the resonator you have at the back of the exhaust with X pipe. However I wouldnt put resonators on it. I would leave it downpipe to xpipe to muffler.

I have 4" downpipe catless to Xpipe to modded muffler and I have zero drone or rasp really, and mine gurgles like crazy. Pops are epic on my exhaust LOL.

Can you maybe provide me a visual of what you are recommending? Where would the x pipe go, and are you saying to keep the secondary cats and dont use the vibrant resonators at all?

I mean replace the downlpipe with catless. Do the muffler mod, remove secondary cats and replace with straight pipe.

You have a E92 forget about what I said with the resonator you have a x pipe already and you dont have secondary cats. Just do catless DP and mod the muffler.

There are secondary cats on my e92, so you suggest leaving them on and forget the resonators, correct?

Take secondary cats off. I thought only XI models had them, maybe PRE LCI was different.

I know that LCI E90/92 does NOT have them except XI.

Take off the secondary cats, and mod the muffler. Then do catless downpipes. Once you remove the secondary cats, and mod the muffler take it for a drive and listen to it. It sounds sweet!

Then do the down pipe and you will love it.!

Work in progress. Just need to find a shop to weld the straight pipes in and close it up. Did most of the labor myself to save me some bucks.

I have an E90 LCI w/ secondary cats... mine is a June 2009 build with the N54... perhaps you mean only the N55 LCI's...

I am going to try to go with a different method to see if it works compared to what they have described so far.

Last weekend I cut open both sides and wrapped the two outside perforated pipes in exhaust tape and replaces 50% of the dampening material inside. I just need to make an appointment to have a shop weld up the exhaust and then to my car. I will let you all know how it sounds and if it holds up.

Great, would love to get your impressions on that. I was considering doing that, as it would be so easily reversible, vs. welding in straight pipes.

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that burned titanium (blue) tips isn't really my style.
