No more baked in salt stains!

How do you like that setup? I went with B8's and H&R sport springs, which I think is a mismatch.

3rd post. Very easy to remove the pedal. I mixed my vinegar/detergent/water mixture into an empty spray bottle and scrubbed with a toothbrush and a more aggressive carpet cleaning brush.

I like it. I think the b6's pair well with the sport springs. Rebound and travel is right where it should be on the auto-x course. Ride height was unchanged when I went from stock shocks at 65k miles to the B6's.

My setup is great for 80 MPH on back roads; I have the tickets to prove it

I did my conversion at 336K. The original BMW sport springs were past their prime.

Just interested also, I have the same Rotary lift that your car is on. Do you have problems getting the lift arms under the lifting blocks?

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Yes, this is in my friends shop, but we had to pull up on a couple corners to slide them under. By pull up on corner I mean one guy lifts up on the fender well while the other slides the arm under. I guess if you were solo you'd have to drive the front wheels on a 2x4 or ramp would be the easiest.

What product did you use specifically? My "before" looks worse than yours and I've tried everything. OEM replacements are expensive and awful to replace and the aftermarket stick-on alternative is tacky as hell.

Finally done with my project. Took a while and I'm not 100% happy with the outcome but it will do for the time being until I can clean it up better.

Finally got INPA, NCS expert and NCS Dummy set up.

Coded in the mph readout on the gauges. Cleared some old codes, checked no current codes.

Ready for when my battery dies now (I thinks it's on the way) and will hopefully come in handy for any future problems.

If anyone in Leeds wants me to brick their car, give me a shout. 😀

I think you meant to reply to me. Yeah, I have some black rubber restorer coming in the mail today.

Picked up my car from a clutch change today. It feels like a new car. It feels very similar to my old clutch but with a lower engagement point. It engages much more smoothly. They inspected my flywheel and didn't need to change it, so that was really nice. They also used Redline MTL for the transmission fluid drain/fill. I get why people love this stuff. Very easy shifting. Most of the notchiness is gone.

335is clutch: $1600
Transmission mounts: $50
Transmission fluid refill and drain/fill hole thread repair: $150

There weren't any snags or issues at all. How'd I do?

I don't think it got any tweaks. I just noticed a lot of POI were added and additional roads.
