Do you know where I would be able to purchase one if it is the case with the dme.

Whether its cyl 1 r or 6 a msifire is a misfire. In your case swap coils and see if it moves. If it moves its the coilpack and it needs replacement.

My half power engine light comes on if i give it anything past about half throttle. It's way down on power, but starts right up and runs smoothly. The light resets every time i shut it off and restart it. I hook up my code reader every time and it shows no codes! Wtf is going on?

Universal code readers wont find these codes sometimes. You need a reader designed for BMW's. Que Bavarian Technic Tool.

It also takes 3 instances before a code to show up sometimes. However, it may be stored in shadow codes, again, only read by BMW readers.

Depending on your tune you may be able to see the code as well.

I was afriad that may be the case. What's the least expensive BMW code reader?

Even though I'm not seeing any codes, it certainly appears that I have boost leak of some sort.

It's stock except for an Injen intake. It's a 2007, so I can't use the $79 cable?

Also, today I took off my intake and pulled the diverter valves and cleaned the seals/neck area. Didn't help...

A couple of quick questions about injectors:

1) For the botched dealer installs, to be clear, were parts 9 and 10 missing on diagram?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...82&hg=13&fg=15

2) It looks like part 9 is included with a new injector. Is that correct?

3) Can I tell if the injector was installed wrong without pulling it out? It sounds like broken Fuel Rail brackets are one way to tell.

4) Can I physically read the injector codes off of the injectors without pulling them? (I would like to confirm the correct codes with INPA.)

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I have answer #4: I can see the codes on all of the injectors. I can also see the part numbers. The four that were replaced under recall are obvious since they are the newest part number. The fuel rail also does not appear to be damaged and the injectors all appear to be seated evenly.

MY car has been going into limp mode under heavy load for last several months...first it was cylinder 3...i replaced coil, then cylinder 1....replaced coil, now cylinder 4. Any ideas of what could keep causing the coils to go...every time i replace the problem coil the car runs fine for a bit then another one goes....frustrating as hell especially when like most of you ALL i want is my baby running perfect. I just installed a JB3 and bought 10 gallons of 110 octane race fuel to mix in tank. THIS seems to lower the chance of misfire under load for some reason...only had one limp mode recently and the CES light went off after one night...Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Question

That's a nice torque wrench that COBB usues in the video to install the plugs. Anyone know a place I can get a nice digital one for a good price.

This is the one I believe I saw in the video but in gray (Torque Wrench, Electronic, $469.95)

Have you followed the guidelines on the first page and video? You should really replace all coils and all plugs at the same time.
