OK, I'm a maybe depending on the time... sometimes I get a bit worried driving on 9 since there are so many motorcycles around but with the colder weather, it maybe relatively empty allowing us to have some fun

If we want to cruise down HW1, then it doesn't matter. Late morning or early afternoon would be fine.

If people want to go for a spirited mountain drive (Skyline/HW9) then we definitely want to go early, like 8/9am early. Otherwise these roads tend to get busy with bikers or slow moving vehicles.

I think if we have a large number of people interested, a cruise will probably be better.

i agree with hkj. on some of those mountain roads, it's better we go earlier in the morning to avoid the bikers and so fourth.
