could somebody do a side by side comparo of V2 & V3 if there's difference in 'tab angle'?
just to be sure of V2 struts design are not the same as V3s..

My tabs were also straight, but welded on at an angle. When you put them in according to Left and Right as their labeled they actually sit in straight. This was on an XI also and I have yet to come across any kind of chirp with my newly installed coilovers. Our roads around here aren't the best either, but I did get a lot of canyon and mountain carving this weekend . Car handles like a dream... I did have to soften up the whole car just a 1/4 turn from the recommended settings.

I have V3s. Mine cracked in the mist of sending it back to get replaced. Mine started to chirp and all that jazz and finally their was no compression.

I have that same freaking sound that you had in your video at 1:31. It's driving me freaking insane. I thought I could get used to it, but no luck. Could it be simply the washers near the top hat seated incorrectly?

Has anyone checked to see if the springs are clashing each other in the front or was that speculation?

hahaha i must have spoke about 15 seconds 2 soon just got a pm from orb
My contact at KW has been out of town for most of the last month. The right people know about this already and they know there is hard proof of this and it not going away. I would suggest you get every single person to log a call to KW as this process will ensure engineering involvement and a resolution. The tab issue is known one and any issue will be warrantied without question. so everyone that has this problem give KW a call and send them an email !!!

I had my kw v3s installed on my xi about 6 months ago. Mine squeak and those boots broke off. In addition to that i dont like the handling at all. At speeds less than 60 the car is much more responsive, but the ride is too rough. Ive brought my car back to my performance shop numerous times to adjust the settings. I have yet to find something comfortable. the ride is either too rough or too bouncy for me and at speeds above 80 the car feels unstable. changing lanes jerks the car from left to right and its hard to keep her straight. even the slightest touch of the steering wheel and she changes lanes...also she has way too much body roll. I feel as if the kws completely ruined the ride of my car. Im actually affraid to go above 100 mph. it almost feels as if im going to go out of control. Im switching to h&rs soon with front and rear uuc sways...hopefully ill have better luck with that setup.

Guys, a friend of mine just had the V3 installed on his Golf GTI, and the chirping is there alright... first few days it was OK, but now, you can hear a chirp from the rear everytime you go over a bigger bump... so I guess thats perhaps just the way KW is?
