Boosted, thanks for your response. My Stett charge pipe journey may have been slightly derailed at first but it's all good now:
See what I posted up here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=186 Was your encounter better than mine?? All the same, your reviews are very helpfull and I'm following in your footsteps with a Meth setup. |

I did have to work to get the t-bolt latched onto the intercooler piping, but that was the only side. I always wash out a pipe when I receive one, so any debris in the pipe would be removed. Other than that, I definitely didn't have the same experience. I wonder what happened?
You are going to love the methanol on this car! |

With the 91 octane garbage we have at the pump out here this almost seems like a necessary mod on a turbo car. I come from the wrx community and there were mixed reviews on alcy injection. Some swore by it and others wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I'm still looking for a reason NOT to do it, and I have yet to find one. |

& question of opinion..theoretically speaking, if i'm gunna do a turbo upgrade pretty soon is there still a substantial need for the meth?

nla, remember you are cooling the charge temps and increasing octane. Basically this means it will be good for any F/I application.

Remember methanol/water is used as -20F windshield washer fluid. This is the reason you can use it in a crunch in your Snow Performance kit. What that means is the water/methanol freeze temp is quite low.
