My 335i felt solid at 130, I could've gone faster than that. Drove 80 all the way from Las Vegas to Southern California. That's fast enough for me. I don't see a "need" to get a Dinan, or whatever, to remove the speed governor.
exactly same speed and same spot. gotta love the vegas drive (on the way there at least)

hit 110mph with the salesman laughing at me on the test drive. turns out he was prolly laughing cuz they intend to sell that car to some poor sucker after all the salesmen themselves beat the shit outa that car. thats why i ordered mine right from the factory. 168mph in my fathers 996tt and 184mph(indicated) on my gsxr 1000 though.

I hit 73 mph on the freeway once..I was frickin bookin...

Guys..please refrain from doing over 100 on highways and freeways. Your just asking for a big time ticket..or some lil ole lady to pull in your lane unexpectantly. Me, I go to the race track..and wear a helmet..and carry a fire extinguisher..and have a ambulance standing by.

Autobahn with no speed limit = legal (The actual wording is something to the effect of the recommended speed is 130kph or about 80mph and anything above that you are free to do but you take responsibility if anything happens.) And German roads are much higher quality than the what we're used to in the U.S. I'd stay here just for the driving if I could lol.

s4to335 i hear ya man... i have an area right near my house where i do my speed runs in the wee hours of the mornin ie. 2 am. there are no side streets for ppl to pull out or cops to hide and its staight as far as u can see... plus like i mentioned before its literally 30 seconds from my house. even with these factors though i dont feel i will do them anymore for all it takes is one suicidal deer!

Apparently no one told the M5 kid that it takes close to, if not over, a THOUSAND feet to stop a two-ton M5 from top speed (esp. with FIVE occupants), even with its excellent brakes.

100mph on an on-ramp. Back down to 70 when merging onto the highway because it's just my luck I'd pull out in front of a cop. Not worth a ticket.

Not to mention that if you're going to run your car on a runway, atleast don't face it in the direction where the runway cuts off downhill.....

Kid was just ignorant,young,inexperienced...the list goes on.

Just a sad waste of human lives....

I've only had the car 2 weeks, its still break in and I don't wanna push it too hard..

About the third day I had it I was on the freeway switching lanes, looked down at the speedometer and BOOM I was going 110... I had no idea!

It was pretty awesome.
