How about someone do the TP test again with and without the scoops? Not exactly a sensitive test but it might be interesting.

There will definitally be more people with them within the next couple weeks. I am going to be making some sets this weekend and selling them on a "different" site....

The ones I am making will come painted in a color of your choosing and shipped to your door....

lol....

If you check the "other" site, I have been talking about making these for a while. I havent gotten around to it because I work around 60hrs a week and I am too tired to mess with the stuff once I get home.

The design I had drawn out was very similar to this one as well...

Good job on it regardless Phuc!

Did anyone bother to check ambient air temp in the engine bay before and after this mod has been done. How much is this really gunna affect the air temp? My guess is next to nothing and you aren't gunna see any improvement of any kind...

I'd rather spend the money and time wasted on gas and driving. To each his own. I don't logically see any gain from the mod for it to have any effect. There is no cosmetic change, no perfomance gain, nothing to gain at all. Why do we mod our cars???

No one has done tests so we are not sure if it provides gains or not....

You guys want to get a free performance mod. Try playing with air pressures in your tires to get a better handling car. Won't cost you a dime and I guarantee that you see a gain from a proper set up...

You are not going to get any kind of gain from adding a tiny bit of cooler air to an open intake inside a engine bay of a turbo charged car.

Why the hell is it that whenever I click these types of threads the timing is always like this lol? But yea I'm sure it will send more air through the snorkel, not hundreds of CFM more, but more. Problem is it's still mixing with hot air after coming in. Because of this, a heat shield is the best option, period. I had plans on cutting my UR about where the logic is and giving it a heatshield from the rest of the bay long before they came out with their "design" (which I had hoped was exactly that, where they placed the filter + heatshield).

Sure I did it back in a chem class in 6th grade. You may have too. It's called a dilution calculation. you take a whole lot of one and add the tiniest bit of something esle and you pretty much left with the first thing.

The simple logic always works the best. Let me know how the test results work out. Do me a personal favor and keep track of the time that you are going to invest into these test to prove my 6th grade logic unsatisfying.

Are you smarter than a 6th Grader?
