A lot of hate on this a few years ago. If I had a police plate it would be something police related like NOTACOP or HIOFFICR. For now I have custom plates on my car and truck, truck is MPG LOL.

I wish DMV could do backwards letters like they have on ambulances so the driver ahead of you could read the plate in their rearview. But then again, a driver would actually have to look in their freakin mirror.....

Yeah - we don't run front plates here, so it isn't an issue. I saw the plate somewhere as "OMG MOVE" - but we can't use 8 spaces here and OMGMOVE was already taken....so I ended up with OMGMOOV.

I think it's silly how puritanical they are about what they'll allow. Add up all the f-bombs and violence that people are regularly bombarded with on Netflix and at the movies, and to then suggest that a license plate that will be seen by at the very most a couple hundred people in a given day will be offensive to the same degree? I'm not buying it. It's just another way for a bunch of anonymous pencil-necked gutless un-fuckable shrews in a drab office building somewhere to ruin cool peoples' fun.

That would be cool. But then the front and back plates wouldn't be interchangeable and some hammer-head or smart-ass would put them on the wrong ends, even though he/she had a 50% chance at getting it right.

I can remember back in the '80s when big 4x4 pickups owned by rednecks often had names. The owners would sometimes have the truck's name painted backwards on the bug deflectors they mounted on the fronts of the hoods. So you'd see them in the rear-view mirror and read something that roughly translated to "I've got a tiny brain and a dick to match." I bet J.C. Whitney will sell you a bug deflector for cheap.

The difference is that people have a choice about watching Netflix or attending movies, but have no choice about seeing a license plate. Public exhibition versus private exhibition.

FWIW, I don't have Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, or HBO, and the last movie that I saw in a theater might as well have been a black and white "talkie" with WW-II newsreel footage during intermissions.....

Despite toying with the idea several times, I can't bring myself to actually get one. Every time I see one, no matter what the letters, they always seem to say 'D-Bag'. Guess I'll go apply for my job at the drab office building....
