Hmmm, I can't say I regret getting rid of any car I sold. I have steadily moved onward and upward with subsequent purchases. I was very fond of my 06 GTI, but I don't wish I still owned it and I don't see buying another. I also haven't owned a lot of really fun cars---I've slowly progressed through vehicles. My current setup is the nicest group of cars I've ever owned.
Will I regret selling the e92 when the inevitable happens? Maybe. The lack of options makes it quite rare. And a really nice, driver-centric vehicle. |

Well considering I'm on my third NSX in the last 16 years, I regretted it every time I sold one....although I didn't regret selling them for more than I bought them for every time.
It's why the wifey still lets me keep buying them I'm seriously considering selling my latest one lately....I don't know why but I've been obsessed with the Cayman GT4 lately I know I will probably regret it though Here is my current one....I'll try to dig up some pictures of my other ones. |

I sold my first 91 MR2 to a kid who promptly wrecked it trying to drift it.
Then I gave my brother my manual 2003 IS300 and he sold it to get cash. I stopped really talking to him after that.

1996 C4S. 38,000 miles. Setting aside the fact that it's worth 3x today what I sold it for 7 years ago, it was pure joy to drive and my favorite color, ever.

04 RSX-S. Always wanted an ITR but unfortunately stopped making them before I got my first car. If dealer hadnt crashed it a couple of years later it would have been a keeper.
09 A3 3.2VR6 - was a unicorn facelifted A3 with VR6 and quattro. Longest I ever kept a car (5 years). Super versatile, sounded great and low key.

Reading here, a lot of people had some good rides. I am one of them.
My first brand new car was a 1992 VW GTI 16V Montana Green. Regret that I sold it and disappointed that I sold it to a so called friend who bent a valve by over revving it from an immature downshift he did from 5th to 2nd and blamed me!!! Second regret was my old ‘95 E36 M3. It had everything a well tuned car would required: Dinan Charger, Dinan suspension, Dinan throttle body, intake and exhaust shrick cams, supersprint headers and exhaust. |

84 p-type celica supra...
Bought it for 500 dollars, didn't run but I got it up and running... Had a manual swap in my garage along with a bunch of suspension parts but ended up letting it go for 2000 bucks... Was more than I could handle at the time, wish I would have kept it though and just took my time with it. Had a lot ideas that just went to waste! |
