I just called my friend to ask his gf that works at one of those shops..they're pretty much all related...he told me that it only works on certain blackberry models...they seemed to have replaced something in the newer batch of phones? I don't really know what he's talking about..best go find out yourself..

Mhmm ..I remember a bubble tea place..but it's those non mainstream ones(168/tenren) ...anyways, I'm not sure if you can get it back today..depends on how much work they have before you..they close @ 7 I think..so might be tight

I don't have a BB..I have an Iphone 4..but I'm not sure if I'm going to go this route..it'll void my warranty

I haven't done mine yet cuz I don't know how the graphics will come out on my Nokia, but I'm willing to give it a try based on the model they have on display. Maybe we can do a group buy/mod? Post up if you wanna join in:

Kris, good news is that you wouldn't have to buy a PIN. You could probably use the PIN from your current BB. IIRC, since it's a newer model BB, they can just fiddle with the inside and you don't need to have any external emulators hardwired. Your cost is gonna be a l'il cheaper than for Kelvin n me.

Unfortunately, I have bad news...some of the HTC/BB released over the last year or so might require soldering as well, due to a change in parts manufacturer. Good news is, it won't be that much more expensive. Oh, and with the shortage in supply(although getting better now) in Iphone4..they might not have enough stock to do a GB any time soon. Maybe if you guys brought your own in like ctgazer.
