IMO, everyone always complains about the dealers not doing anything but when they try, people here bash them...makes me wonder why Rallye or any other dealer would want to even bother for next year

Thanks Travis...your car should have been there man. We missed you. BTW, did you move to the Westbury area?

Dude, the look on your face was priceless!

I really need to say- I'm not sure what all the "sponsored" talk is about. Of course I can only speak on the three cars that came with us that won awards, however:

1) The green M3 is built(and paid) by MAC, for MAC. Hundreds of hours of labor(forget dollars!) went into building a complete show and go car. Every piece of that car was touched and modified in some way, and we built it to show what we are capable of- were we not supposed to? We won people's choice.

2) Nick's HPF stage 4 M3 vert- 100% owner financed. This car needs no explanation. Won best modified.

3) D's X6 Monstr- 100% owner financed. There was no interior there that could hold a candle to him. Beautiful Hamann kit, awesome wheels, lots of engine mods. Won best SUV/Sedan.

Those were the "MAC" cars. As for the others:

I can't say what was sponsored or not on the G Squad M3. Won best Coupe.

The Phoenix Yellow E30 M3 turbo was not at all sponsored, and is daily driven in Queens. Won best classic.

all of those cars were very deserving... that phoenix yellow e30 was

they just need to add a new category for best SUV cuz i would hate to take D's title next year

There was a lot of time, money and passion as well as personal sacrifice that went into this show to show our appreciation to the hundreds of BMW enthusiasts who supported the Event. You are entitled to your opinion of a "lackluster" show, it is your right to express your opinion. Our intentions were to put on a great show for some great BMW people with great BMW's. "Impressing" you was not on my "to DO" list for the event.

But taking into consideration your obvious high level of expertise in high quality Convenience Store Car Shows, I will take under consideration replacing the live music, free food for 750+ people and $5,000+ in prizes that we gave away today with distorted bass tones from the trunk of an Altima, Slurpees and free Vanilla Air Fresheners......just for the sake of "impressing" you. .........."IMHO"
Dear Mr. Nick "cruzin650/rallyenick" Soldo,
The same way i feel the show was lackluster, you feel it was ringlin bros esque, where as it was the greatest show on earth. Never asked for you to put impressing me on your "to do list". I know you for a very long time Nick, but you wouldnt remember someone like me or my family, or probably close to the half a dozen customers we had sent to you. I know you from back in the day when you used to drive a black dodge magnum, on chrome 20s might i add, way back before youre head got soo big it didnt fit in that lame bucket hat you were walking around in yesterday. Back when you had the little desk in the sales office on northern blvd. Way before your "salesman of the year" bonuses clouded your vision on how exactly you got to that position of power, and who really put you there. Back when you valued your customers and what it meant to sell them a car, and not just making them another number on your quarterly reports.

Again nothing i said was a personal attack, but taking your comments into consideration, and your remarks it seems you did take a little personal. The cars at the show were amazing. Had nothing to say about them. I was actually talking about the show itself. As far as the music, youre joking right? Its seemed like some salesman's son got the break of a lifetime when he got called up to the major leagues performing on your makeshift stage. As far as the food and raffles good job, but Im sure all the cars you had on display for sale, apparell you sold and new customers you gained made up for it and then some. So...."IMHO".......you should be lessed concerned about taking peoples opinions on public forums personal and start worrying about customer service, and regaining loyal customers confidence back in you.

Best regards and much continued success Nick
Smoke

*Once again this is nothing personal to anyone on this forum, just a reply back to Mr Soldos's comments about my opinion on the show. I do not wish to get into a back and forth tennis match about whos right and wrong*

And to everyone else who participated in the show, wether working for rallye or just entering their cars, great job on displaying some amazing cars.

In MY opinion, criticizing the quality of "show cars" of the other 100+ participants of today's show, just makes you look like a "hater". Too bad, you could have enjoyed a fun show. There's some great people with some great cars who had a great time today. Our intentions were to put on a great show and in most other people's opinion, we accomplished that. Sorry if you disagree.
i wasn't criticizing anyone's car, just saying it was more a meet than anything. I guess i just had my hopes up after seeing pics of Bimmerfest in the photo section and also the great turnout at the Bear Mountain meet. Like I said before, there were very nice cars there yesterday nonetheless. The green M3 was a beauty...surprised there aren't pics of that beast on the forum in a proper photoshoot..or maybe i just missed em.
