This thread should be re-named: 'Barrel Full of D'Bags'

1 - OP = For parking in someone else's spot
2 - 'David' and or 'Nick'= For Keying the car
3 - 'Sam' + OP = For having 'friends' like that. After all you're judged by the company ya keep.
4 - OP = For not calling the cops immediately

pfft, easy. you park there again with another car, this time leaving a paper plate, magic marker, and sharp object all nearby. Then stand at a distance and watch+record them to see what they do to the car.

It worked for george in seinfeld when he had to recreate the jerk store boardroom meeting, so it almost cant fail.

definitely excessive. no one should ever do that.

but when you think about it, these guys had to come in and get the paper plate and the sharpie, and even write the note. they didn't notice OP laying on the couch? they couldn't put 2 + 2 together and wake his ass up to move the car? so either they hate his guts or they're dumbshit sketchers. either way, if OP wants to lay around with dogs he shouldn't be surprised if he wakes up with fleas. the fact that he hasn't already filed a report shows that he's lazy, just like he was too lazy to park in the visitor spots.

If you sued and I was the judge I would side with the two guys because you NEVER park in someone else's spot.

Unless you called ahead and asked Nick and David if it was okay to park in their spot, which is what you probably should've done.

That's why you're not a judge. You don't get a license to vandalize because someone did something you don't like.

It's your fault for parking in someone's spot. However, I would file a police report anyway.

I don't think you're supposed to drink on the job.

Beyond a reasonable doubt is for criminal cases. In civil court it is something called the preponderance of evidence, which basically means you have to have more evidence than they do. If you can provide enough evidence to make it 51%/49% in your favor you win.

thats some fucked up keying bro..

If i were you i would have filed a police report that morning, then contacted the Complex and asked if they have security cams or anything like that in the garage. If youve known these kids for a while im surprised they dont know what car you have? let alone they could have went to your registration and seen who the car was registered too..

They sound like a bunch of assholes to me. I wouldnt go thru insurance cause itll raise your rate for nothing. Buy the carbon fiber CSL trunk for like 600-700 bucks and just retaliate to their cars tbh with you. Take bologne and throw it at the paint. Key them, and put a Ping Pong Ball in their gas tank.

Pm me if you need any more ideas of fucking with their car :P

Good luck bro. Stay away from that group of friends, if they honestly have the balls to key someone that bad for simply just parking in their spot then they dont sound like good kids to me.

Well, there is also an intermediate standard calked "clear and convincing" also used for civil cases.

The clear and convincing standard is not as rigid as "beyond a reasonable doubt" and it is not as loose as the preponderance standard (sometimes referred to as more likely than not). The clear and convincing burden of proof standard is somewhere between the two.

His deductible is a thousand bucks. I'd be filling up some brake fluid balloons for a drive by. But that's just me. Not suggesting you do something illegal . . .

sorry bout what happened man. buy a trunk off someone who still has their stock one available, or go aftermarket. no need to retaliate, karma will get them. just relax, file the police report and obviously i hope you realize your relationship with your friends will never be the same.
