Do you have the G5 board? You can take off the JB4 and send it to BMS and they can update it to ISO and upload the most recent update on there.

Any good indy shops around here besides racewrks? Last 2 visit to CF BMW kind of turned me off from going there. Unless we can find a really good SA who is willing to work with the guys on the forum and help us out. **Again, I miss Eric, and Nathan**

I think I seen that shop. Are they good with 335i? To be honest I am scared to take my car back to CF. Every time I take it there and bring it back, something else comes up. My alignment is still off, and there excuse is my rims are big and my car is lowered. Neither of the 2 is true.

We both have a 335 mine is an 07 with 25 k, my dads in an 08 with 32k. Have not taken either to them yet. Although I did have them give me a quote for installing lowering springs on mine. They ballparked $600 just cuz they were unsure of what was involved. At that price I will just do it myself.
They have worked on my old e36 M, 94 525i, e46 330ci, and a 93 e30. No complaints with the service or cost for any of those. If anything buy your parts through them rather than BMW. |

Yeah, there is a great alignment shop in norfolk called Mizelle's. It's been years since i've been there, but when I had my 02 TL-S that was lowered, they were the only ones that could get a good alignment on it. If I ever lower my car again, that's the only place I'll take it.

BTW, summer tires and this weather don't mix well. Didn't have an accident or anything but t was hell driving from norfolk to va beach last night. Now, I know it's obvious that summer tires wouldn't do well in the snow, and I've toyed with the idea of another set of rims with winter or all seasons, but then I think I'll just change the current tires out to all seasons when it's time. Any suggestions, are the all seasons out there decent in the snow?

Lol it took me 45 mins to get home when usually is 15 mins
Good thing is I'm awd so it isn't that bad, just the summer tires isn't very gripping when braking And I actually enjoy doing 4 wheels burn out haha As for the summer tires and all season tires, BMW 335 with red shouldn't be out in this weather really....

Ever since its been very cold, I get a weird noise when I start the car in the morning. When it is cold, I get a knocking sound on the driver side of the engine, below the intake manifold. This only happen when the car is cold, and the idle is sitting at 600 rpm. As I rev the engine a little bit the sound goes away and when the idle settle, the sound comes back. Until the car warms up to normal temperature. The sound is like a rod is knocking, I have no codes, or any cel. Anyone else have this issue? I did some search, and did not find a clear answer.

The only issue I do have is when there is a layer of ice underneath the snow, or if there is so much snow that the car plows it or just rides up on top of it. I can get around when there is 4 inches or less fine, but when there is more, 6 inches plus, I just have to shovel to get out of where ever I am first... Darn town plows like to wall everyone in and these cars don't go through snow banks. |

muzz...I'd be interested in taking a trip out that way for that. I've heard there is usually a pretty decent turn out, it's just earlier than I'd like...especially if my son doesn't sleep well the night before. I'm good for whatever time though, we can get there right at 7:30 or a little after...whatever works best for you.
SpeedOften...I've heard those are pretty good tires. Do you leave them on year round and if so do you still feel like you get the performance out of them in the warmer weather? Also, since they are not a RFT, what do you do for a spare or flat repair? I know...too many questions but there are a lot of options with regards to tires and I'm so hesitant to not have RFT without a spare.
