Hey vanguard13, this song is by the Tom Tom Club, founded by Tina Weymouth (and her husband Chris Frantz) who was the bassist and a founding member of the Talking Heads.

Good song.

vanguard13, this is not for everybody but is a great song. Mariah sampled the Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love" here. Take a listen. Mariah did all the vocals, co-produced and directed the video. She is a musical genius in her own right, at least in this one song. Written by Mariah Carey and Dave Hall.

Yep, I agree. A little raw and less polished. Sometimes a group's early stuff is their better stuff for me.

Steve Clark's riffs are great and back then soon to be ex-member Pete Willis was pretty friggin' good as well on this album.

I'm not a big fan of Mariah's style, "extreme singing & note stretching", but if you have that voice....
The Tom Tom sample is nice (~ 4 min in).
I think the video is Coney Island!
